Delays and erratic flying
Departure delay from Southampton at 1535 on 6 7 23 not announced until after check in time Return flight delay at 1900 on 9 7 23 due to inept check in staff recording 42 bags checked in total vs only 31 on plane Flight then took off late and pilot flew erratically to make up time A horrendously fast steep and banking descent into Southampton was unnerving Air crew member said it was the fastest he had ever experienced on a Southampton outbound from Jersey

Shocking airline
Shocking airline - in the past week they have cancelled a flight and then delayed another by three hours They must be operating on a shoestring and with limited aircraft that are able to fly They should have their ability to fly reviewed by the Jersey authority Another airline should be awarded their slots

Avoid this company
I would avoid this company from now on Flight from Guernsey to Southampton was cancelled with 3 hours notice We had to stay at a hotel overnight which we paid for as no offer for assistance from the company Refusal to pay compensation as apparently not covered by UK regulation 261 2004 for flights leaving the channel islands which is probably why their service is so poor as they can effectively do as they please Avoid them and the sister company Aurigny who were equally poor and who the flight was originally booked through

DO NOT travel with Blue Island
Sat at Jersey airport waiting for 7hours as flight delayed delayed more go to gate go back to departures then cancelled Had to find and pay for accommodation back the next day today and guess what Flight delayed - feels like groundhog day I can only assume this company has a ceo who is a complete and utter tw t No comms No apology and more to the point No blue island staff at the departures area so you can t complain to anyone- perfect business model for Blue Island No chance we ll ever use them again Don t be tempted to use them even if it seems more convenient - it certainly won t be

Never ever book with this airline
Never ever book with this airline Our return flight was cancelled after it was due to have left It was the last flight of the day The ground staff assured us that we would be compensated for having to stay overnight This was not true The company has refused to countenance any claim by hiding behind their small print This entitled them to cancel any flight without compensation The company is a disgrace

BE WARNED OF CANCELLATIONS
Flights booked 8-15 July to Jersey from Birmingham Outward flight ok - return HORRENDOUS Cancelled with giving us no notification - only found out when arriving at airport for 1240 flight to notice flight not on departure board Offered flights to MUNICH and IRELAND eventually flew to Bristol where all trains were cancelled for maintenance Had to pay 220 for taxi to Birmingham Blue Islands won t pay anything as they say they are not covered by EU ruling YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

Bolousy service
Booked on 1410 flight Guernsey to Southampton Delayed till 1725 Three other flights delayed due to technical reasons Given 3 different stories by customer services No vouchers issued for food and drink Think blue islands could not organise a drink up in a brewery and even more concerning is the question are their aircraft safe

Pointless delay
Flew Birmingham to Jersey 9th May plane late so as soon as the plane landed we were checked through and assembled on the tarmac for boarding We then had to wait 45 minutes standing on the tarmac with nowhere to sit due to difficulties in disembarking a wheelchair passenger It turned out that she could get down the steps but needed a wheelchair to get into the terminal which took 45mins to do We eventually arrived an hour late

You need to take out travel insurance
You need to take out travel insurance with this airline as if your flight is delayed or cancelled you won t be able to claim any compensation and they will quote you as Blue Islands is a Channel Islands based non-UK Community carrier statutory compensation under UK regulation 261 2004 would not be applicable on this occasion We have used them 3 times the 1st time we were due to fly from Dublin but as they hadn t signed their EU contract we were re-routed to Belfast 2 5hrs in a coach on arrival at Dublin airport - another 2 5 hrs from Belfast to Dublin airport on the return journey to collect our car That time they did offer a voucher for 2 tickets to Jersey return but these had to be used bofore the end of the year As it was the end of September this wasn t feasible for us tried to change this but they refused 2nd time was ok Last time was at the end of September we were stuck at Jersey airport for over 4 hours due to a technical fault with the plane There was no apology there were no updates or annoucements moved to gate from departures for 2 hours and then back to departure lounge for 2 hours This totally impacted our arrangements that evening so contacted Blue Islands for compensation and guess what as Blue Islands is a Channel Islands based non-UK Community carrier statutory compensation under UK regulation 261 2004 would not be applicable on this occasion We will not be flying with this airline again and you should be aware that if you have any delay or cancellation which are fairly frequent it will be on you at your own expense

Truly dreadful
13 40 flight from Jersey to Southampton having waited for multiple non-forthcoming updates eventually cancelled at 7pm and a message sent to rebook Any staff who might have been around were in hiding Told to turn up next day No offer of accommodation Returned next day and same again Being Jersey registered these jokers are less regulated than a West African cargo airline so expect no news no compensation and no assistance Its a tin pot airline doing the bare minimum to keep a few shabby planes in the air who don t give a monkeys about its customers and its demise can t come soon enough
