BLUM doesn t always stand behind their product
Had their systems installed in all of my kitchen cabinets 3 hinges failed after 4 years on one door Contacted them and at first they were very helpful and ordered a change in warranty However it panned out as the item number i had and the one they replaced me with were not the same hinges eventho same part nr Later found out my items are part of industry line whatever that meant however later found out what it means Was directed to contact the shop i bought the kitchen at They reached out to factory and factory has no warranty on it after 2 years standard EU warranty but wants payment Went back to Blum asking how is that they are now washing hands that its not their product so there is no warranty outside the warranty given by the factory Won t die for 50 euros but it s the customer relations a company keeps As little as that money means to me they mean even less to them I would understand this if the kitchen came with xxx brand name hinges that are based on Blum products However this is not the case The hinges only have BLUM name on them Kitchen is advertised by having BLUM there s no mention of only 2 year warranty They also advertise 100000000 whatever number Blum uses amounts of successful closing openings of the door same thing BLUM uses in their marketing So in essence it is BLUM name that stands behind those hinges Me as a customer has no idea if something is part of industry line or whatever other lines they have I see a name that i presumed meant something and i see the same marketing with xxxxxxxxx amount of opening closings and went with it When installed it only has their name so everything checks out Well until it doesn t as as explained by the support person industry line is not their product but only has parts of their product Which is borderline scam as the product still carries their name and customer has no idea from which line something came Similarly when you order computer hardware some parts are OEM some are retail however this is clearly stated in the product descriptions and as such both have different warranties In this case you are not sure until you encounter a problem Have already ordered replacement from the factory but feel moral obligation to write the truth on possible issues behind the marketing campaign

Blums warranty is not worth the paper its printed on
I purchased a hardware product of blum s recently that arrived incorrectly packaged with the wrong parts rendering it useless So I reached out to their warranty department as their products promise a lifetime warranty They told me that it isn t their problem or fault if they supply their products with the wrong parts and therefore do not work and that I need to take my complaint to the retailer The retailer has done nothing wrong in this instance and is unable to supply me with a singular part that they do not carry I can at least order the missing part through a wholesaler but I wouldn t have to if this company had integrity and stood behind its brand

Excellent service for replacement part
Our kitchen was installed 8 years ago It incorporates a Blum larder style unit which has operated very smoothly until very recently when there became increased resistance when closing the drawer I traced the problem to one of the runners and contacted Blum via their web site to see if I could purchase a replacement In response to my query they couriered a replacement runner pair to me the next day free of charge Excellent service

Exceptional customer service
Ten years ago Smallbone of Devizes completed installation of a fitted kitchen that had sixteen fitted drawers running on Blum soft drawer closers The oil seals on the damper pistons of three of these drawers failed recently with the result that oil leaked and the dampers no longer worked correctly I thought that I d replace these fittings myself rather than invoked the Smallbone warranty but found that these units had a lifetime guarantee with the result that Blum UK customer services mailed replacement parts immediately without any fuss whatsoever I could not have imagined that these units would come with a lifetime guarantee which in itself is quite extraordinary in my experience but the quality of Blum UK s after sale service is not only exceptional it has to be second to none 12 January 2023

Genuinely unmatched warranty and service
I have never had such good customer service in my life My kitchen was fitted over 30 years ago yes thirty - doing some odd jobs this week I wanted to adjust some slightly tired saggy drawers Called up Blum to buy some spare parts replacements as some of the plastics on the runners had broken- instead 4 new pairs of runners were immediately sent to my home under their lifetime warranty No joke- I had not heard of Blum a week ago- now I will never buy a runner or anything else they make from anyone else Absolutely incredible service and warranty This experience has made my weekend In fairness Leatherman also have a genuine lifetime warranty I have experienced
