Poor bank to work with
If a customer with around a sizeable USD holding in your bank cannot get service so that the exchange rate can be reviewed prior to change verbally with an assistant then heaven help the people with smaller bank accounts What s this nonsense of put it in an app and they will respond you cannot even provide us with an individual to speak to and who can confirm the rate Who checks and Who authorizes and reviews the rate on 0 4 0 5 million USD change outs on an app Even a small rate change affects overall positions Do you not understand this Jokers

Would not use these monkey s if they were the only bank that existed
They are ignorant arrogant inflexible and dont give a dam about their customers Only interested in sucking as much out of their customers as they can There contact centre is useless and they do not return phone call requests Would not use these monkeys if they were the only bank that existed

Why why why can t you employ staff who speak English clearly on the phone Clarity of communication is paramount This is not written out of prejudice but out of the challenge of having an important conversation over the phone when we both are struggling at times to understand each other

as a loyal customer of over 15 years every time we reach out we are treated like a new customer slow response time and unfriendly staff No support no relationship and no trust We can not wait to leave those bank

I wish there was a zero stars option if you want to know how bad BNZ are just call them and spend 45 minutes on hold record profits by providing RUBBISH service I got an email from a manager whose title included operational excellence WHAT A JOKE

Really disappointed with BNZ
Really disappointed with BNZ it took three phone calls and a grumpy email to get reply from the small business team Even when the ball was rolling it was like pulling teeth Email after email we had no direct phone line with the person who we were dealing with The whole experience has left a bad taste in our mouths We have banked with them our whole lives now looking at other options

really poor service
really poor service i updated my adress and confirmed it in writing with an bnz IAG agent they never actually updated it so i was technically uninsured for a full year I have lodged a complaint several months ago and it never gets resolved im still waiting for a response very poor communication and service would not recommend

UNHELPFUL
I have been with the BNZ fo over 30 years and I have never owed them any money that I haven t paid back what s been borrowed as required so I AM VERY LOW RISKThey only made 762 Million Dollars last financial year so they are really struggling We have a cost of living crisis as well as a recession where interest rates have more than doubled and infact tripled in some cases And yet as a loyal BNZ customer for many years when you ask them for a little help they are most UNHELPFUL In my case I have an investment property paying Principal and interest repayments and my payments have more than doubled and so it is a struggle to meet repayments I asked if I could go to an interest only arrangement for a period of time to help ease the burden of repayment I recieved a very stone cold impersonal uninterested response from the woman taking the call saying she was more worried about losing her job than helping me PROFITS OVER PEOPLES WELL BEING which won t harm their profits at all NO DOUBT MOST BANKS ARE THE SAME but I shall be looking to bank elsewhere in future Thanks for nothing BNZ

Using the BNZ Visa card online has suddenly become difficult
When using the BNZ Visa card online the Visa Secure feature kicks in randomly and prevents the transation going through If you don t have the BNZ App on your phone or a smart phone you are unable to complete the purchase and can end up with your card locked With a bit of effort BNZ could have made the situation more difficult than they have for their customers and drive them completely away Bring on open banking

Rubbish bank
Rubbish bank Would not recommend to anyone Was stuck in Christchurch and needed to access my money with card was a Friday evening Due to me withdrawing 2k the previous day my card was locked for 24 hours Customer service was terrible and offered no help with no solution I will be likely moving my account and putting my money into actual investments rather than hold it with these people If you want access to YOUR OWN MONEY use another provider
