Opening times on the website are not respected Customer service informed me that the hours are different in reality from what is on the website Emergency calls routed through a long switchboard for special claims only to be told that the emergency lines are closed out of hours no email address to communicate only noreply Unable to cancel renewals via extremely basic policy website particularly useless chatbot which can t answer any questions Despite temporarily blocking my bank card to stop the renewal Bradford and Bingley charged me 15 to cancel despite having never been authorised to renew a policy There is NO grace period unlike other insurers The one role of brokers is to provide a good customer experience of behalf of underwriters

Shocking renewal price and process
Last year paid 68 p month and just had renewal which is 269 p month with absolutely no changes to any details Can t cancel online cancelled over the phone to be told I had to let 269 payt go through then wait 8-10 days for a partial refund of 70 for 4 days cover or my credit score will be affected I ve been a customer for years always paid on time no claims Cowboys

renewal quote 3x the previous years payment
Just received a renewal quote for buildings insurance from Bradford Bingley last year it was 311 this years quote was 1135 I rang the advisor got it down from a monthly payment of 94 to 90 per month I got the same insurance from Sainsbury s bank for 360 33 per month Disgraceful

Contacted them on my Home insurance as I had problem with my boiler they send my claim to sedgwick company I been told someone would contact me in half hour after few hours waiting for engineer without hot water and heating I called them again they said engineer try call me buy I didn t answer I was fuming Then I got text message saying engineer would come to me between 00 00am and 00 00pm After 3pm got another message saying my engineer is on his way guy named Marco was really helpful and nice told me need to replace gas valve and will order parts for next day After 2 days of waiting I call him and he was still waiting for authorization from sedgwick company to approve part replace Bunch of amateurs Shocking service from them

Thought they were an established well respected company - WRONG trying to get a plumber on my home ins cover was impossible the company they passed me onto Sedgwick totally useless Ended up getting plumber myself never go with them again thankfully my new home ins due in 6 weeks so will choose a proper company

Having some work done to the house Told after an Hours conversation they couldn t cover us and then charged me 35 to cancel my insurance Terrible experience Looked around and got covered in 5 minutes elsewhere

If I could give no stars I would After searching last night for Home Insurance I decided to make changes and select the policy last night Made an error but before I Knew it the payemnt had gone through couldn t cancel immediately online last night or stop payment via bank so contacted this morning straight away to cancel I was told it would cost me 25 00 25 For a policy I wanted to cancel immediately but couldn t Adviser couldn t careless and was unhelpful in resolving I ll escalate this further but don t hold any hope for a response wouldnt even think they check online reviews In all the years this is by far the worst experience I have had Avoid for any of your insurance needs Do your research first

Read the reviews before you take out insurance and photo everything you value
Have been with Bradford and Bingley for 3 years for house contents first time ever to make a claim in 44 years of house ownership We were burgled at the weekend all my jewellery was taken Contacted B B not helpful at all want receipts for jewellery although I explained all were gifts So told to look back at all my photos to show jewellery over last 40 years then they would send them to an assessor to see the value Absolutely impossible no compassion Our building insurance with Tesco put money in bank account for new door straight away

Absolute scam of a company
Absolute scam of a company missed payment due to swapping bank accounts with a differant company and get letters through saying if I don t pay then it will be passed onto debt collection I ring up and explain the situation and that it s not because I have missed a payment and I can pay now want extra money because of this so I decided to cancel policy and take one out with someone else do not use this company imagine trying to make a claim what would happen
