7 day hold on my CASHIERS CHECK
I had a cashiers check that I went to cash and was told they had to put a 7 day hold on it When I protested the branch manager mocked me and told me to take it to Walmart if I didn t like it I deposited the check 9 days later my money was still not available I had to call Then when I went to withdraw money the teller told me that the amount was above the teller limit it would take a branch manager who was still on lunch break at 4pm in the afternoon This bank is horrible and it s employees are not educated on how a bank operates I am changing banks as we speak Do not use this bank They are horrible

WARNING
WARNING Cadence Bank will cancel your homeowner s insurance and raise your premiums without your knowledge Do not trust them with escrow handle everything yourself I had the unfortunate experience of finding out that in 2023 Cadence Bank cancelled my homeowner s insurance without notifying me and force-placed a more expensive homeowner s insurance policy on my house which is mortgaged with them They did not consult me or send any notifications about it they even confirmed this I have definitely learned my lesson to never trust them with handling anything on my behalf and will be paying all insurance and taxes independently I would highly advise you to never use their escrow services as they may violate your trust and unfairly take your money like they did with me

Poor service
Unable to access online banking for 5 days Customer service no help Called and waited 10 min and no sign of help I now have past due bills They merged with banksouth corp with horrible results My correct log in info is now invalid and no one to help Closing this acct asap

I have my mortgage with this bank and what a mistake I made
I have my mortgage with this bank and the employees are the most insensitive unprofessional incompetent bank I have ever done business with I have been trying to resolve an issue since November They need to be investigated for bad business practices Do not bank with them especially opening a mortgage account

Bull crap
They lied to me all day long telling me that my money was going to be in the bank and it still ain t there I ve waited all day long they said they had some glitch in the system tell me my money would be in there this afternoon well here it is 7 00 and my money still ain t in there this is the worst bank I would not recommend this bank to my worst enemy much less my dog so all you bankers out there beware this is a piece of crap Bank

I have been banking with Cadence over 15 years
I have been banking with Cadence BancorpSouth for over 15 years and never had problems until now for the last 4 months Deposits on the online app holds your check for 2-4 business days When I called they verified me with SS DOB Address and last transaction I gave them all correct info and then they wanted to know where and when I opened the bank account and I had city and state right but did not remember the exact date of when I opened the account is it was so long ago They also wanted my debit card This is an extreme overreach and this is not the first time this has happened since Tupelo MS had taken over the customer service When I wanted to talk with a manger to file a complaint none were available and they would not give a last name or an id to be able to identify them But they sure had all my info I will close my account ASAP UPDATE I received 56 emails that my deposit was submitted extremely unusual for that many notifications

Worst Bank Ever
I was a BancorpSouth customer for over 15 years when Cadence took over I tried to deposit a check via their mobile app over the weekend just like I have many times in the past and they have decided it was fraud I took the check into a branch the first day they were open and I attempted to deposit that way in addition to 20 in cash explaining what had happened They deducted the entire deposit from my available balance - cash and check Want to hold a check Fine hold it but don t deduct the amount from the balance already in my account Not only did they deduct the held check amount but they deducted my CASH deposit too Moving on to Hancock ASAP Worst bank ever

This is not a business friendly bank I had over 20 000 in my account but I had to wait over the weekend to withdraw my own money since I just opened an account with them Never heard such a ridiculous excuse before in my life I m closing my account on Monday Do not open any account with them

These people are a SCAM and own a fraudulent credit card where they pre-approve you then take away your credit limit then entirely shut your card down randomly and for no reason despite making payments on time OVER THE LIMIT EVEN while you re expected to make payments of hundreds of dollars a month and still pay late fees and high interest rates as if you still actually had the credit card I will be contacting attorneys for a class action lawsuit as I have since found out this is a regular practice of theirs DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS BANK They are a JOKE and a SCAM
