Therapist and no show and cannot get a refund
I have never done therapy and was excited and nervous to get started I elected to do 4 video session per week in addition to messaging As a public school teacher this was a huge financial sacrifice for me to sign up Once placed with my therapist I tried to schedule a meeting right away by using the online scheduler through the calmerry website I was not able to schedule a time slot and would get the message this time slot is not available when I clicked on every slot Once the therapist messaged me back she indicated that she needed to do all the scheduling as she has multiple calendars and needs to complete it on her end Perhaps this is a fault on the engineering design end where the therapists true availability is not visible Needless to say she was not available until the following week after I began my subscription The first meeting was fine mostly introductions The therapist and I the scheduled a meeting 3 days later I logged into the second meeting and the therapist messaged me saying she would be 10 minutes late 16 minutes later the therapist messaged saying she arrived but the video kicked out She offered to do it later in the day but I could not attend as I had a prior engagement so we rescheduled for the following day The therapist did not set the official meeting up using the scheduling tool until the next day until 1 00pm I attended our scheduled meeting at 5 00pm and the therapist never showed up I immediately called to ask for refund The customer service line rings and you cannot get through to anyone Someone finally called me back and they said they d issue me a refund It is now several days later and I have received a partial refund I have since tried to get a full refund and they indicated the following Thank you for your response We understand your situation and want to do everything we can for you We can issue a refund for a week of messaging part 27 49 as a video session has been used and the counselor did her job here Apparently Calmerry thinks the therapist did her job I let them know that I would never have signed up for a singular introductory appointment had I known that the therapist would not show up to future appointments and was clearly too busy to take on other clients As a customer I do not think I received the services outlined by Calmerry s marketing in a timely manner I also do not think I should be held financially liable for Calmerry s choice in therapists Given my experience I would not recommend Calmerry

Neglect
I began Calmerry three weeks ago because it boasted text therapy 4 video chat sessions and the ability to change my therapist at any point I went through three therapists I was disappointed to find out from day one that even on weekdays most therapists do not respond within the same day The first therapist I did text therapy with canceled on me with very short notice for our first appointment had our appointment time wrong and ghosted me the next day when our next appointment had been lined up She neglected me when I tried to confirm the correct appointment time and simply did not show up The next therapist I worked with successfully scheduled an appointment with me but left the platform unexpectedly I get that emergencies happen and people change their minds and the third therapist I was matched up with honestly really just frustrated me from the first message that was sent Calmerry added to my frustrations made me feel more alone and trapped because I couldn t even access pre-paid appointments and was being neglected by the person who I was paying to be there for me Would not recommend this to anyone I was able to receive half my subscription payment back despite the extreme inconvenience and the sheer fact that I was only able to use 1 4 of it

All the therapists are one-trick ponies If it doesn t suit you they don t have anything else to offer I tried 5 therapists and found them all to be completely unprofessional

I have had the worst experience with
I have had the worst experience with this company I started out with a counselor that didn t communicate or respond at all Then got matched with a new one that seemed like she was gonna be a good match but then the app completely shut down All my messages were just a black screen I reached out to the company to try to get things fixed because they did an update on the app that went terribly wrongs It stayed that black screen for days with no help from the company They then just misunderstood my frustration and canceled my subscription but never gave my money back I m still fighting to get over 200 back from this terrible company Therapy turned into a nightmare and I m even more stressed now They claim they refunded me but I called my bank multiple times over the last month and my bank says nothing shows from their company Update the update the claim is not completely true I didn t get a full refund until yesterday I was reached out to by Nick and he was amazing He actually seemed to care about the terrible situation that happened and got me a refund It did take 2 months to get it though and lots of cold messages from non caring customer service

False Advertising prices
Hidden prices on website with false ads indicating plans start from 42 week Here is the scam that is the discount price for the first month The true pricing is 58 week but why would they list that on their website The lack of transparency along with the condensing matching agent was enough for me to avoid this site Their app glitches and doesn t show new msgs unless you exit the chat and return You get what you pay for if you can afford better help use them instead There s a reason so many you tubers advertise for them Let me add that they will call you trying to poach their services Edit I had to spend an hour with your slow intake nurse just to see those prices If a customer has to waste their time to get to see your prices it hidden from the public You wasted me and other peoples time with your practice And like every other review you choose to take zero accountability for customer satisfaction showing how you how this service is run Get your act together

Calmerry is not a good source for therapy
I signed up and explained my situation in detail I was matched with a counselor that did not meet my needs and the counselor recommended I switch to another counselor Calmerry then matched me with a substance abuse counselor I do not nor have I ever had a substance abuse issue and this is not even close to what I needed help with When I explained that I didn t feel this was a good match they said maybe I should try this person out and if it didn t work out - I could switch again I explained that I didn t feel this was a good plan as I didn t want to start and open myself up to a counselor that I knew wasn t a good fit from the start and then do it all over again Calmerry personnel do not seem to understand therapy at all I would not recommend this company

I don t know where the good reviews are coming from because I did not have a good experience My first therapist felt like I was a mere annoyance and would send a reply or two that consisted of it being a sentence The second therapist was full on with questions but would only recite exactly what I replied with After the initial day they didn t reply or even bothered to It wasn t their day off They just didn t reply I told customer service this their response was we can switch your therapist again and give you two free days but you ll have to pay again after that I m starting to think that the therapist assigned to weekly plan clients are given the short end of the stick Meanwhile the ones who pay for a full month get more attention and better therapist Seems fair right If your only concern is business and making money I wouldn t recommend especially if you re suicidal or have deeper issues than being stuck at home during a pandemic

I signed up for a trial
I signed up for a trial to make sure It works for me The mental health assistant who was doing the intake was great The second I put in my credit card info and got matched things went sideways First therapist straight up ignored me I asked to switch and when i did I got assigned a therapist with 9 hours difference to my time zone so when i sleep she works The customer service just said meh try it i shouldn t have to do this work for a company who sells mental health services It should be understood that you need at least a few hours of overlap

Feels like messaging a disconnected number
This is my first time trying online therapy so I wasn t sure what to expect Here is a list of ways I can describe this platform Texting a ghost Talking to a wall Talking to yourself You hardly get a reply back and when you do it feels like a canned responsr and they don t even respond to what you said I m only in my 4th day and I don t even like the direction this is going It feels like a complete waste of money because its basically the same thing as texting a disconnected phone number Even support will ghost you Still no word back from support but do plan to send another email I m shock to see all these positive reviews this services MUST have fake reviews I say just be weary of the positive reviews

Waste of time
Waste of time I was hoping for a more efficient way to get therapy Calmerry s procedures are flawed The customer rep I chatted w provided me inaccurate information about how long the process takes and how you can use your weekly sessions She stated I could combine 2 - 30 min session to make 1 - hour long session The first therapist I was matched with never got back to me about scheduling an appointment So I had to switch 6 days in The second therapist I was matched with said I could not combine sessions for a longer session and that he only sees patients for 1 - 30 min session a week I was signed up for 4 week I requested a full refund 8 days later They prorated my refund even though I never met w a therapist and the customer rep gave me inaccurate info regarding how scheduling sessions worked making this platform useless to me
