Used to like capcutBut now it s all behind a subscription paywall I understand you need to make money to probably keep everything in order and to pay bills but then don t advertise your software as the best free video editing software on the internet Many jurisdictions have laws against false or deceptive advertising such as the FTC Act in the U S or EU Consumer Protection rules If users can demonstrate they were misled they might have grounds to complain Companies typically include a terms of service agreement that gives them the right to modify features pricing or availability If you agreed to these terms when downloading the app it might limit claims of false advertising But since most companies force you to agree to the terms to use any of their products then it s less of an agreement and forced to do so which is also considered illegal Some laws such as the EU s Unfair Commercial Practices Directive prohibit bait-and-switch tactics offering something free and later locking it behind a paywall If users feel deceived consumer protection agencies might investigate

I installed an update to get pro after spending hours editing Then the update messed everything up It was perfect before the update exactly how I wanted Then the update messed up all the transitions Now I have to go back and try to fix the whole thing Ridiculous The update also makes you have to pay for features I didn t used to have to Used to like Capcut this update has made me want to look for another program So frustrating

Getting an invoice for Pro Subscription is a challenge

I bought a Pro subscription to use for my business and when the end of the quarter came and it was time to collect the invoice for the tax report I realised that I hadn t even received an invoice for my purchase from CupCut I ve never seen that such a huge company doesn t do it automatically It turned out that you need to write to them to get an invoice So I did it and it s been the second week I ve been trying to get a simple invoice for my purchase They asked me to confirm my purchase by sending a screenshot from my bank account Are you serious I m very concerned about who is responsible for invoices if they don t even have access to the info based on my account ID number Why should I prove that they charged me for my subscription This seemed to me like a scam I can t believe that such a company doesn t have a professional tool for sending invoices to their clients

CAPCUT FRAUD ALERT

I purchased a CapCut Pro 1 year subscription on 01 02 2025 and within 7 days I was locked out of my account The app claimed I didn t have a subscription and repeatedly prompted me to pay again Issues I experienced Impossible to download my videos Paid services stopped working after 7 days and I cannot export my videos No Support No confirmation email no receipt and customer service is nonexistent Unauthorized Billing Ongoing charges with no way to cancel or manage the subscription This appears to be a systematic scam affecting many users CapCut is taking money while denying access to services and providing no path to resolve issues they took my money but giving back no service at all I call this SCAM If you re considering CapCut Pro think twice Customer service is nonexistence and no one will be back to your problem

CAPCUT AUTO SAVED AND DELETED MY PROJECTI paid for capcut pro and used it for 6 months to edit a long and complicated video Just as I was nearly finished the entire project contents not the project itself instantly deleted Because of the auto save function there are no project backups despite settings saying it has a cache function Capcut support is impossible to get onto then gave me advise that didn t match the issue that I had then said bad luck there s no back up If you want to waste hours of your life on software with a fatal flaw then choose capcut I have moved to DaVinci resolve which is FREE and infinitely more powerful Once you get the hang of it it s way better to use

Was not able to get a receipt or response for charges on my card Every email led me to another and another and another until it started all over again Chat was the same Because I could not get a verifiable receipt my company had to cancel as we have to justify spending and auditors require verification I caution individuals to use Legitimacy is questionable

I would give them zero stars if I could They push you to upgrade and when you do upgrade to their CAP CUT PRO it does not update your desktop application Thankfully I only paid one month rather than the annual subscription I re-installed the CAP CUT application twice and on the second installation it lost all my media Terrible experience Time to find a proper provider with support I think
