They are scammers
They are scammers The representative named Mandy Hendrickson is definitely scam Avoid the company as a whole I was looking for merchant services in 11 2018 and signed up with this company In negotiations I made sure that I will not be charged the Early termination fee and representative agreed to it and confirmed in email They left the space of ETF in actual contract blank and when I questioned she stated that she has made it 0 and that is why it doesn t show anything in that space Fair enough 7-9 months later customers don t want to switch payments from PayPal to a different company So I have no option but to cancel the plan which I emailed her to cancel without ETF as we agreed She processed the cancellation next statement I received the charge of 750 Early Cancellation fee I called Mandy Hendrickson out of panic I didn t realize initially that she was in West Coast so I called an early hour as soon as I realized I hung up and called after 9 am PST I called her twice and left her a voice message to please return the call I texted her the details of being charged the ETF She texted me that it was unprofessional me calling her 3 times to an extent I agree but on the other hand she gave me the number herself and stated I could reach her there Anyways she had a family loss and stated I reach out to her colleague Phillip Larson She became nasty on my texts while i kept it professional she even got to the point where she was almost cursing at me while I still kept my calm After an hour of everything she actually texted she was not going to help me at all as I was not her customer anymore This is what ticked me off but I still gave her benefit of the doubt that she was stressed out due to the loss of her family member I contacted Phillip Larson he stated to forward the emails and texts from Mandy confirming the no ETF I sent him and he promised to get back in 3 days It has been 7 days now and still no response from him No response to my emails or calls I called the cancellation department and they asked to forward the email to their cancellation inbox email and they will process refund based on that The tricky part is that the contract space being left blank per their terms means that the general policy of theirs will apply which had ETF of 750 which I never agreed to and was not provided NOTE If you signup with this company ensure you do see 0 00 Early Cancellation Fee no field should be left blank They even increased some price while I was offered 5 years price guaranteed By the way I worked for a bank when I got the service I told her that my merchant services was unable to give pricing compared to what CardConnect gave but my rep was giving no contract and ETF and that is why Mandy agreed to it It has been almost over a week I have notified Card Connect Hopefully they refund me the charge and I will update my review based on the facts if not I will certainly dispute it through my bank or go to small claims court

Nightmare company - scammers
In addition to the horrible customer service they also make it incredibly difficult to cancel Which makes sense because otherwise how could they stay in business with horrible customer service except to trap their customers in My first two phone attempts at cancellation after my CC provider went out of business last June resulted in cases being created followed by rate reduction offers but not actually closing the account Even though I responded to these emails quite clearly stating that I wanted to cancel that I didn t care about rate reduction they still did not cancel the account It has taken 3 calls so far and on this latest call they state that they require written request to cancel and then it takes 30 days and plus a cancellation fee I already sent multiple emails reiterating my cancel request but they only told me today the apparently super secret email address where they need to receive those cancellation requests cancel-at-cardconnect com Thank you Oscar Galante for not mentioning this in my replies to your emails restating clear request to cancel And thanks Tom for your amazing ly smug support May you both be internet in famous Avoid this company and make sure to ask the question of your CC provider to make sure these guys aren t involved on the backend of your transactions

DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY
Absolute worst merchant service company I have ever dealt with Supposedly I signed a contract with a third party Chellecomm that allows Card Connect to withdraw money from my checking account I contacted Chellecomm and they did not proceed with a contract because I was already happy with my merchant services provider Card Connect supposedly has a contract signed by me that they refuse to produce We have tried multiple times to have this account which we never opened closed but no one seems to be able to do it When you call them they constantly put you on hold for 5-10 minutes at a time saying they are working on your problem But nothing ever comes of it I have emailed every single email I can find for this company requesting the signed contract with no response from anyone I have also contacted First Data their parent company and they have not responded either I have closed my bank account so they can no longer take money from me and I will be seeking legal advice action against Card point and First Data

DO NOT - I REPEAT DO NOT USE THEIR PLUGIN OR SERVICE
This company has no clue how to protect their customers and their own system from unauthorized transactions In last 2 years our website was used for carding not once but twice and the worst part is that both carding events took place after using their own plugin they provided They failed to take responsibility on issues you may come across and if large amount of transactions are run by the bad actors you get charged in thousands of dollars Last but the not the least - their customer service sucks and they don t care about small businesses If anyone including their agents are upselling this company s services then you are warned because you are going to be not only unhappy with their service but it ll also leave a big hole in your bank account Go with paypal or any service providers they may charge you 3 5 for the fees and that may seem higher but they ll have your back in case of chargeback CARDCONNECT SUCKS and they will screw you - so far we ve lost in 3000 because of their inability to protect the customers

They don t tell you how to cancel It took me 3 times
So I had a problem with a terminal 4-5 years ago Got in a heated conversation with a manager and told him I will never work with their company again and to cancel everything I am a small business so I work in the office my wife does paperwork and bookkeeper does the taxes Little did if find out that this little 29 95 a month bill was still being pulled out of our account They demand that you email them a cancelation or write them a letter But when you cancel them on the phone they don t tell you that I put in a complaint to the FTC Shame on them

This is the absolute worst option you can choose for credit card processing They increase fees without notification Overcharge you Do NOT choose them for your CC processing This company refuses to send me a copy of my contract As part of the requirements they insist on sending full social security number via unsecured email Ive been dealing with their customer service for 3 months They do not give consistent information Initially telling me they could work with only the last 3 digits on my SS After completing the form they did not respond I called weeks later and they said we did not include full SS and they refuse to send it A true nightmare
