They are a joke
They are a joke They asked me to pick up the car with a long delay with nearly empty tank and dirty car body I even asked if I need to wash the car before return but was adbised that only if it is very dirty I returned car with half tank of fuel had only some insects splashed on the car grill and they didn t want to collect the car without extra charge for washing the car crazy expensive price I was asked to write a statement that I do not agree to pay for cleaning so they can take the car back and I can deal with the extra charge later It was so ridiculous that I am laughing when I am writing it now I wrote my complaint but next day they tried to charge me anyways But I fortunately blocked my card Avoid this scammers Even full insurance will not protect you from their ignorance and lack of professionalism and stupid tries to charge you extra for anything

WORST CAR RENTAL COMPANY TAKES UNAUTHORIZED PAYMENTS FROM YOUR ACCOUNT
I travel a lot and therefore rent cars very often I have never come across a worse rental company than Carfree This review is for tourists and anyone else thinking of using CARFREE DON T I would give 0 if I could Carfree wrongfully deducted money from my account without any prior notice or authorization from me after returning the car I did not received any invoice or receipt for the payment What s more is that I specifically objected to any payment prior to receiving a report of inspection To clarify when I returned the car I was wrongly accused of transporting pets in it The staff informed me I would not be paying anything until the official inspection Till today I have not been shared a copy of this so called insception report A few days later when I was checking my banking app I noticed that on that very same day I returned the car 66 USD was taken from my account This is criminal to say the least I am working with my credit card company to dispute this payment as well as taking this matter to the Consumer Protection Office in Warsaw In addition the customer service has been horrid 1 There website is misleading Their main selling point is that they don t require a deposit However they don t tell you that it s only for Polish nationals The deposit they requested in an email following the booking so once I have already paid for the car was 65 of the car rental value - which is insanely high For me as a foreigner this was the first red flag 2 There staff was unreachable during the final week as we hoped to extend the rental agreement by 2 days Eventually connecting with them the staff was unable to provide any rates and came back to us the day before the agreement to only offer us a rate triple the orginial the cost per day 3 When we returned the car a Carfree employee inspected it and made no comments He then invited us back to the office to complete the paperwork and right away rudely and wrongfully accused us of transporting pets in the car My fiancee s family own a white cat and a dog but we are not insane and would never put them in the boot of a car We also respected the rental agreement and did not have the pets in the car at any time We paid for external cleaning and full insurance as protection mesaures to avoid incedientals We wont pay extra for all of that and then be careless enough to bring a pet into the car The honest truth - which we explained to them - was that there was likely pet hair on our woolen coats that must have transferred into the car The attached picture will show that there are less than a handful of small hair fibers The Carfree staff who dropped off the car on day 1 had explained to us that all we needed to do before returning the car was cleaning the floor mats 4 The staff to whom we returned the car refused to speak to me in English and instead attempted to intimidate my fiancee in Polish Neither of us would have accepted the accusations and the ridiculous payment of 260 PLN they were trying to extort FYI - cleaning the car interior in Warsaw is no more than 150 PLN I am also attaching the final vehicle handover document signed by my fiancee in which we added a in polish a handwritten clarification that pets had not been tranported in the car 5 You can see in other Google reviews that Carfree responds to all his negative reviews in the same manner claiming that the reviewers were never their customers If this doesn t prove their poor business ethics and scam practices what does I have attached proof email screenshot that I was a customer I have also attached there post in case the compnay will try and delete it or dismiss it CareFree is the sketchiest car rental agency I have ever dealt with The staff is rude misogynistic pigheaded hostile and doesn t value their customers They may have stolen money from me but I hope that this review will protect others from horrible experiences with this criminal business

Avoid at all cost because they will rip you off
Avoid at all cost because they will rip you off claiming damage you never caused and at prices that are criminal I was very careful with the car and returned the car in exactly the same condition as when I picked it up Carfree Car Free then charged me an additional 1 200 When I called to find out what the charge was for they claimed I had returned the car with damage to the sidewall of the tire which was totally false First I was very careful as I was afraid to scratch a wheel so I never touched a curb with the tires Second the location on the tire they claim was damaged is actually what is called the rim protector as it is a thick piece of rubber on the side of the tire there to protect the wheel and this damage was superficial It was also not caused by me Now here s the best part This was a little economy car so I looked up the price for the exact same tire New the tire is only 55 And the car already had many thousands of miles on the tire So how can they charge me 1 200 for a tire I did not damage that costs 55 I will tell you how These little companies often times will give you a good rate but when you return the car their modus operandi is to charge you for damage YOU DID NOT DO Spend a few dollars more and go with a reputable company and you will save a lot more in the end Don t get ripped off by Carfree

Absolutely fab service -NOT
Absolutely fab service Bit dated with technology and overseas payments but as my card wasn t compatible I recieved the call with in 15min Got the car for next day and Victor was very nice happy and polite - not what I am used to from car rental companies in Poznan I rent a car in Poland about 3 or more times a year and Panek was my preffered service however they have changed full policy cover and deposit amount rules ie if you don t buy full policy cover with them than they will charge about 4000zl deposit and prices are far away not comparable with car free Also carfree charge less for gadgets no deposit and cars are really cheaper to rent when all hiden costs come together Victor fantastic customer service - however despite all this I have returned car and had paid extra to return dirty car full insurance cover and they fined me and chasing me for 70 as I made some part of car dirty that is not covered by agreement What a jokers They sending emails demanding payment with in 24h but not able to provide photos or proof what is damaged I WILL Never use them AGAIN and recommend to stay away from this people

Worse car rental in Poland
Worse car rental in Poland I rented a car with Carfree returned car to one of Carfree staff at Bydgoszcz airport and I was told that everything was ok After few days I received an email advising that there was a scratch in the left door I have been trying to get picture of the scratch along with the copy of the report stating the damage as my excess insurance would pay for it but yet nobody got back to me Few days ago I received a letter from debtor collectors in Poland and yet nobody reply to my emails or sort it over the phone Please avoid this horrible company If you in Poland try to use Panek or Europacar I have been renting cars in Poland for the past 12 years and this company is sh I came across Update on 11 07 2022After sending over 100 emails I finally got the documents for my excess insurance company pay for the claim It took me 44 days of chansing every 5 days to get a response I guess that is not the company you would like to do business with If you still thinking if that is a trustful review just Google the company and check the reviews

Avoid at all cost
Worst company ever Avoid at all cost It started bad from the first contact in Wroclaw -unprofessional staff with bad manners and lack of knowledge about rules Refusing to fix reservation mistake made by someone at the carfree Had to call main office to get it resolved The person that actually took as to the car was nice and advised us that when we return the car they will look for any damage and boy he was right It took more than one hour to inspect the car and finally they found something on the edge of the door- so small I could not even take picture of it I had full insurance purchased but based on the review the bill still may came in the email or the card can be charged Very stressful car rental experience Never again carfree Rent somewhere else and drive stress free and save money at the same time

Don t USE THIS COMPANY This is a company that charges for everything I rented a Lexus car because navigation was very important to me The man who delivered the Toyota not the Lexus showed me a small screen 10 x 7 cm which was supposed to be a GPS-navigation He tried to type in the address I wanted to go to which turned out to be completely impossible So we tried to connect my iPhone but it was probably too modern for this car because it could not be done either Standing on the street in Warsaw with a car without navigation I decided that I would not get anywhere and I cancel the rental of this car Of course I was not offered another car but a refund because I paid for the rental full insurance cleaning of the car and deposits And what do you think I got my money back NOT At first my e-mails were not answered I wrote to the boss Mr Adrian A and customer service Mrs Kinga K and finally after almost a month of waiting Mrs Kinga told me that they as a company had incurred high costs and the sum I had left can only to be rebooked for another rental But I don t even live in Poland and I don t plan to go there again Avoid this company Never again CarFree

Not Recommended Car was 3 Hours Late
We booked a car rental from carfree pl at Lublin Train Station on June 19 2023 However it turned out they do not actually have a physical location at the train station Instead they send a driver with a car from a remote location to meet you Our rental was scheduled for 13 30 but the car arrived three hours late Despite both the driver and the manager promising us a discount to compensate for this major inconvenience we never actually received any money back In a subsequent email they informed us that instead of a refund they would offer a discounted rate on a future rental However this offer is obviously worthless to us as we plan to choose a different company next time

If you not polish don t rent worst ever
Absolutely worst customer service From agents at the airport to there manager to the person over the phone One of the worst service I ve ever had in Poland Wrong car when I arrived wanted to overcharge me even when I had email communication confirmation of price and car as I had to confirm before I travel due to business expenses They gave me very old car which is lower segment than what I reserved for the same price I couldn t leave the airport as the car didn t have any satnav and I couldn t connect my phone as it was newer than the car itself the agent made me buy a cable at the airport worth 100PLN then They made me go from Modllin airport to Chopin airport which is an hours away so they can change the car they said I can get the same original car I booked just pay more deposit which I agreed then after an hours drive in bad rain the manger at Chopin airport was so rude to me even though he was so nice to all polish customers before me and after me maybe cause I m not polish He didn t want to give me the original car and wanted to charge me more money after all I ve been through at the end I had to take same segment gar to just leave as this was 1 00 am and I landed in Poland 7 30pm and was so tired And I was showing him emails confirming my reservation he said I don t have time for you if you not happy go complain to the company like no one can touch him Seriously he shouldn t be in this position of customer facing and also international airport too
