Contacted about a car I m selling and told to buy a CLP report Person has no interest in buying my car just trying to drum up business for the website Don t fall victim to this Report similar requests to Action Fraud and NCSC

This is a 100 SCAM service

This is a scam service don t bother The link to the website gets sent by a potential buyer of a vehicle you have advertised They all are sent by text not through the platform you advertised the vehicle on They then expect you to pay for this useless report with never ending promises of repayment upon viewing the vehicle The existing reviews are hilarious the glowing 5 star all use the same spurious title Car Lab Portal UK for the service anyone smell copy n paste here and are all repsonded to with outpourings of gratitude from the owner The negative reviews are ALL responded to with the same copy n paste see a trend here reply from the owner saying they re unable to find your details as a customer in their records Well of course not We re the savy ones who aren t going to use your service EVER and are just trying to warn anyone else away from being scammed out of 30 quid

SCAMMERS Multiple sites under different names eg 1check co uk hpicarcheck com and this one within 48 hours of advertising car If buyer is genuine they will do their own checks

Beware a Scam

Much like the reviews below I now recognise this to be a scam My car is listed for sale online Someone started texting me but refused to speak over the phone After various questions he said he wanted to view but insisted on a report from CarLab first He would not accept any other HPI report even though I had a fresh one to send Never asked for my address but said they would view and pay full asking price if I paid for this search first This Carlab report costs 29 99 whilst all other HPI checks from others typically cost 4 99 I told him I wouldn t be paying for this report but he was welcome to pay for it himself especially if he was that interested in my car and only trusted this report needless to say he never text back I m sure Carlab give a genuine report but I m also sure there are people trying to encourage you to take out the report then never show up As evident with the scammer who was trying to contact me

TOTAL SCAM BEWARE OF THIS SERVICE AND PEOPLE WHO CONTACT YOU TO DO A CHECK ON YOUR VEHICLE They will contact you saying they are interested in your car for sale and ask the normal questions like any issues where are you located and when they can view They will then say can you send us the CLP report before we come to view They just want a sale from their site for you to buy a report
