What cowboys Need to cancel a booking yet nowhere on website or confirmation does it tell you how Clearly they don t respond to telephone calls and email contact form response says they hope to respond in fourteen days This is not a business worth dealing with utter cowboys

Dreadful and disappointing stay
Dreadful and disappointing stay I had booked and stayed 3 nights for myself and my family so cost quite allot of monies this was our treat as a stay cation this year We had 2 bad accidents all caused by their members of staff being incompetent I have since come home and taken legal advice and will be writing to them separate Not worth staying unless they get their staff in order

Avoid ripping off loyal customers
I am in Newport Several times a year and have used one of the Celtic manor hotels most visits I had a booking for the weekend before last which cost 435 On the day I noticed I could book the same package for 200 I messaged the property about this and they never bothered to respond Additionally as I had decided to stay somewhere else they have now charged my card 435 and still not bothered to answer my customer service enquiries Avoid

I am disappointed that I am writing
I am disappointed that I am writing this review as I have always enjoyed my visits to Celtic Manor but recent events have left me disappointed to say the least Sunday lunch booked for my wife and mother in law at The Olive Tree as usual you cannot fault the service or quality of the food however my wife paid the bill but they also debited my card which I had used to secure the booking not a big problem I thought A quick phone call would sort it turns out not to be that simple Many emails later lots of chase ups and broken promises by Robbie no refund apparently with the accounts team so over 2 weeks later and through frustration I contacted American Express dispute raised refund on account the same day Shame on you Robbie and celticmanor such poor service mustdobetter

NO customer service
Stayed at resort many times and always very pleased with hotel and staff alike This time despite the room and facilities being v good the customer service is atrocious Emailed 4 times Generic response re will answer in 7 10 days Didn t Complaint re my daughter getting food poisoning and me getting pinged by Nhs app as masks were not enforced in public places or bars restaurants before sitting down This was a gift and I am appalled at NO customer service once money has been taken

Awful spa experience
Resort is wonderful reason for one star xmas eve spoilt by extremely rude massage therapist at forum spa who I m sure is not qualified as had to tell her what to do Been a loyal customer at forum spa for over 10 years Has definitely put me off now

Celtic Manor Coldra Court Rib Smokehouse disappointment
My wife and I went to Coldra Court for a celebratory meal at the Rib Smokehouse and Grill Very poor service from the restaurant manager and senior staff We had requested a larger and quieter table but this wasn t offered and it took 25 minutes for a drink order to be taken with a further wait of 15 minutes for 2x drinks to arrive The poor waitresses did their best but seemed very inexperienced and struggling from the team being understaffed The table was barely large enough for two plates and two glasses but when our main course Texas Platter arrived we had to sit diagonally at opposite corners When I tried to engage the restaurant manager he dismissed my comments about it flippantly and walked away I m aware of the reported failing standards at the resort overall and this has confirmed this for us

Extreme disappointment
Visited with 3 friends on 12th October for a Spa day which had been booked for months Was very surprised to find that there was a charge for parking Checked in Spa reception where we had to wait for towels robe slippers to be prepared although we were expected Went to changing rooms no lockable lockers available in fact very large number broken Had to wait for staff to attend who already knew there was a problem with lockers then had to put all our bags including valuables in room behind reception with no security this all took a minimum of 45mins Toilets needing cleaning Area around showers smelt disgusting of drains Entering Spa area pool roped off ceiling panel removed whilst 2 men worked Jacuzzi wasn t working properly a member of maintenance was actual in it wearing swimwear googles trying to do repairs whilst at least 10 people were sat in it Floor around pool area extremely slippery very dangerous Not enough loungers seats Massage disappointing wasn t even asked if any particular areas needed addressing Some seats in dark relaxation room were soaking wet All in all this was a terrible experience not at all relaxing The only good part was the lunch We will never ever go here again To think that this is suppose to be a 5 star hotel with spa is a joke I would recommend anybody to think twice before booking a spa day

WARNING YOU WON T GET DEPOSIT BACK
I booked for Sunday lunch for my 21st Birthday which they cancelled two days before as they had a bigger more important function I had already paid for invitations new dress jewellery etc Nevermind except I ve been ringing every week for a month now and they still WON T RETURN DEPOSIT Like other reviews kept being told they will ring back and never hear from them again Seriously unimpressed when they cancelled on me

My daughter purchased afternoon tea
My daughter purchased afternoon tea plus two additional glasses of prosecco priced extra at 14 This was purchased February so due to covid19 we booked last Sunday of August 2020 Tea was good but prosecco was not to be seen feel pretty ripped off to be honest Do not buy vouchers because you won t see half of what you are paying for Sent numerous emails but no response to why we did not receive prosecco very dissatisfied Will never return here
