Avoid Century21 France

We booked a holiday house in January 2021 in good faith with Century 21 via Airbnb Recent advice and change of governmental travel policy from UK and French governments rendered it extremely difficult to travel Hence we were forced to cancel our travel plans Century 21 displayed a total lack of empathy to our plight Whilst the rest of the world are all trying their best to help each other out to practice empathy and understanding and to minimise the mental and physical effects of this global pandemic Century 21 Fouras are not They are entrenched in a desire to protect their income at any cost Whilst I can appreciate the need for a Strict approach to application of their cancellation policies in normal times these are certainly not normal times To refuse to consider any leniency even when approached by AirBNB beggars belief and then to have the audacity to charge a service fee in addition when clearly there would be no need as the property was not going to be occupied well I can t for the life of me understand their position in strict enforcement when the governmental rules on both sides of the channel are clear on travel between our countries So future bookers beware If you cancel during a global pandemic you will lose your deposit be charges a service fee and a cancellation charge AirBNB will be powerless to help you and you can say au revoir to a large sum of money Century 21 would not even agree to roll the booking over to next year or agree a voucher system to book next year elsewhere This is not the behaviour of a modern customer focussed business and in my opinion should be avoided Look elsewhere Century 21 formed one leg of our 2021 summer holiday Of the three properties we booked Century 21 are the only agent that has not given us a complete refund I am not even sure if the owner of the property is aware of the sad situation we are left in Steer clear of Century 21 France
