Stay away
Like virtually everybody else who is assessing Chargepoint I feel obligated to warn others against this company They do not deliver - but rather they will take your money and when you ask to have your money back the most you can hope for is a response that they will get back to you and nothing happens I regret not having checked them on Trustpilot before engaging with the company

inappropriate charges to cc and not reliable
Unreliable at several locations Cost is astronomical for an EV charge as they continue to charge your credit card even though your car has completed charging App did not work so had to use credit card at the station I have very little confidence in ChargePoint They are making a lot of free money

First use I was double charged
First use I was double charged A week later I tried the same charger station but different number it was like pulling teeth said charger not recognised after several attempts Oooof Then card not recognised then not charging try again give up unplugged my car and drive home with the charge I had when I arrived at the EV charge point Opposite of a simplified user friendly experience Used at Cheshire Oaks

Absolute scam
Absolute scam avoid like the plague they appear to charge for the unit and rental of use separately No clear tariff charges on display at the docking station Cost us 20 in total for just 7 miles worth of electric charge It would have been cheaper to use my diesel car and pay the equally ridiculous ULEZ charge

This company will auto charge your credit card even if you are not charging or below the minimum threshold They ended up charging me 7 times within an hour of 10 each totaling 70 which makes no sense I never charged more than that a session Customer support was unable to resolve via phone social media and email They stopped responded and are blatantly stealing from customers with stored CC info Beware

Unacceptable Overcharging and Poor Customer Support
I had an awful experience with ChargePoint at the Ashford Outlet on 23rd December 2024 I tapped my card once to charge my car expecting a 7 charge Instead I was charged 215 in multiple transactions including a 15 charge and several excessive pre-authorization fees There was no warning about pre-authorization charges and such amounts are completely unreasonable This left me without access to essential funds right before Christmas creating significant stress and inconvenience When I contacted customer support I was given no immediate resolution or assistance only told that the money should come back in a few days This is simply not good enough This experience shows a complete lack of transparency and customer care If this could happen to me a tech professional who understands these systems it could easily happen to anyone ChargePoint needs to address these issues urgently to regain consumer trust Until they do I would strongly advise avoiding their services

If I could score a zero I would
If I could score a zero I would I have a home charging station that was given to me by the dealership Within 10 months of purchase it has failed CP will not cover a warranty item or start the warranty over So this is going to be an ongoing replacement issue and I will have to pay an electrician to install it every year
