I don t even understand all the complaints I have had ZERO issues with CIBC taking over from capital one mastercard In fact Nothing but good things to say They shifted my cycle dates Changed my due dates it now aligns with my 8 other credit cards due dates much better meaning I can just make 2 payment dates to pay all 9 credit cards They now accept Apple Pay So I can always have my Costco card ON me Their website is more robust and has a lot of services and info The app is smooth and works great And I love being able to log in with Face ID Yes Apparently the interest rate went up But This doesn t even concern me As I never carry a balance so the interest rate could be 300 for all I care They apparently reduced some of the Costco earning perks That s okay I have always used my BMO world elite mastercard to pay at Costco Only cuz the rewards aren t locked in the same way as Costco annual rebates Don t get me wrong I do use my Costco mastercard at Costco too Sometimes But I prefer to use premium cards with better rewards a that interests me But honestly The 1 thing that makes me super happy about CIBC taking over is now ALL my credit cards are living in the current century Because For whatever the reason Capital one just refused to join us in the 20th century and insisted on living in the caveman days and would not allow the card to offer Apple Pay Thank you CIBC For Apple Pay feature

Secondary Verification Code EVERY SINGLE TIME

Customer with CIBC for 25 years of great service Recent issue with CIBC On-Line Banking requesting a secondary verification code EVER SINGLE TIME This was despite the CIBC On-Line Banking initially recognizing 1 my device 2 giving me my first four last four bank card digits and 3 accepting my initial pass word I called CIBC to get assistance to make the system stop doing this EVERY SINGLE TIME I got nowhere I was told by CIBC to 1 Get a cell phone or 2 Get Proton encrypted Email since CIBC does not recognize G-Mail Despite registering a cell phone number with the CIBC On-Line Banking system I continue to get a secondary verification code EVERY SINGLE TIME However I have figured out a way to bypass the secondary verification code as it seems very weak along with the already weak initial pass code The CIBC On-Line Banking system appears to be weak for two reasons 1 pass word is weak as it is only letters and numbers i e no etc and 2 I have found a way to bypass the secondary verification code without using any of the options land-line cell phone or Proton encryption email I have ticked off the box below which indicates Let CIBC know about your review so that hopefully the IT-Department at CIBC can 1 Fix and prevent the problem with the secondary verification code being EVERY SINGLE TIME and 2 Reconcile the fact that the secondary verification code may not be actually working EVERY SINGLE TIME as I am able to bypass it Thank you again for years of great service and I hope this helps CIBC in the event there is a security issue or inadequacy with the CIBC On-Line Banking system Sincerely Dave

I want to express my deep appreciation for the exceptional assistance provided by Ripal Patel the Fraud Manager at CIBC Ripal went above and beyond to resolve my issues with CIBC and I cannot thank him enough for his outstanding service Ripal was the only individual throughout my ordeal who truly grasped and empathized with my concerns His professionalism and dedication are exemplary making him a true asset to CIBC His approach was not only efficient but also carried a genuine concern for my situation Unfortunately my overall experience with CIBC s customer service has been far from satisfactory My account has been inexplicably on hold for over a month and I have interacted with numerous representatives many of whom displayed rudeness and a lack of empathy I sincerely hope that Ripal s exceptional customer service skills can serve as an example and inspire training for the rest of the team His ability to understand and assist customers sets a standard that others should strive to emulate Thank you again Ripal Patel for your outstanding support during this challenging time You have restored my faith in the potential for excellent customer service at CIBC Keep up the fantastic work
