Customer service is a complete disaster they don t speak English the cashback card double charged me the autopayment and once I pointed out the issue they all stopped talking They could not explain why a waste of time Avoid them at all costs you will lose money Looking into who oversees them now

DO NOT TRUST CITI WITH YOUR MONEY The company closed my savings account for no reason and tried to justify that as outlined in the Citibank Client Manual for Consumer Accounts Citibank reserves the right to close an account at any time and for any reason with or without cause They then refused to return my own money in that account for over 7 months even after numerous attempts with their customer service I was only able to get my money back after I filed a complaint to Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Absolutely the worst banking experience of my life and shameful for a bank to put any customer who depends on them to access their money through it I might still be left empty handed if it was not for CFPB so everyone with issues should file a complaint here consumerfinance gov

Just forget about collecting the account opening promotion Was supposed to receive account opening bonus in April it is now November and still waiting I ve spent over ten hours on the phone and in branches with bankers with no luck so far I suspect that like Wells Fargo Citi is trying to impress Wallstreet with new account numbers without revealing how many of those accounts are subsequently closed If I was ever treated like this by Chase I d dump them in a second

ONLINE BANKING WITH CITIBANK WILL RESULT IN YOU LOSING TOTAL CONFIDENCE WITH ONLINE BANKING TO PUT IT BLUNTLY THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NONEXISTING PEOPLE WILL ANSWER THE PHONE IF YOU FINALLY GET THRU AND THEN THEY WILL CAUSE YOU SUCH FRUSTRATION THAT IT WILL LITERALLY AFFECT YOUR HEALTH THEY ARE GROSSLY AWARE OF THIS BUT DO NOTHING WARNING DON T GO THERE

Would give zero star if I could Wait forever on the phone to get a representative and then provide zero helpful information when the call goes through The representative basically grilled me about my immigration status for what to open a savings account Fricking stupid because I ve been here legally for many years and have been a customer with them since I moved here Going to use another bank from now on

Citi keep sending me personal details of a US customer Unable to contact US as I am not a customer and they do not publish contact details Contacted Citi UK who tell me they don t have to deal with GDPR complaints No longer wish to receive a strangers details It is telling that UK dpo email address blocks all incoming mail from most popular email providers

No access to customer service or website The Company seems to be dramatically slashing customer service hours despite the increased need of its customers in this challenging time I ve been dropped from 1hr holds with the 1-800 number twice now to respond to a fraud charge The website is also currently down This is a joke

CitiCard a new addition to the wallet was fraught from day one For starters the website needs a remake the Chat functionality has never worked its customer service team is offshore and difficult to hear and decipher and last but not least navigating Citi s VM prompts is torturous After failing to link a payment account things got worse We made a substantial overpayment Citi insisted the account from which the funds were drawn did not exist in its records Reporting the mistake a card rep erroneously claimed the automated bank system would not accept an overpayment exceeding 100 00 The Five-Figure overpay-the difference between what was due and what was received-was to be returned to the cardholder by check and only via regular mail The Citicard will not be used again

Citibank very hard to cancel an account
Citibank is one of those companies which makes it very hard to close an account We need to stop spending money at companies that do this Signing up the way more difficult process for the bank is fully online and easy To cancel a credit card they make you call You speak with someone that is hard to understand They give you the run around with other options Then they tell you that you must go online and check your email while on the phone and agree to terms Obviously this could all be done easier in an online system Forcing the call has one purpose to make it difficult to cancel a card Also not honest is their call computer system It says you have to opt in for voice options at the same time it gets confused by background voices Completely dishonest to pretend you are not monitoring voice

My real rating is as negative as
My real rating is as negative as negative gets I ve been a good customer for a few years never been late never ran close to my limot recently started making bigger payments and not adding to my balances so much They have been balance chasing me every few months and every time they do it lowers my credit score about 20 points for a while They have destroyed my credit and I haven t actually done anything wrong The push your credit limit down to your balance and raise the interest because now you are over 98 usage even though you have only made payments and not added to the balance The app rarely works the website rarely works customer service doesn t exist doing credit with them was the biggest credit mistake I have ever made They started out ok for the first couple years Every time you try to do something important something went wrong on both the app and website I was trying to build my credit and now it s worse than it was when I started trying to build it and I have never even been late
