They failed to close my account affecting my credit score

I was transferred to Citizen by HSBC I had several unsuccessful attempts to close my account due to their failure to execute it correctly It cost me several hours and money until it finally got it closed or so I thought Citizen now claims that THEY took action to close my account due to my unresponsiveness to their attempts to reach me via an inactive email which I alerted them too previously about an outstanding balance The outstanding balance are fees they continued to charge me for an account I understood to be closed This will now negatively affect my credit score Customer service as always unreachable and my trust level is zero that they will fix this even if I reach them

Worst Bank ever

Worst Bank ever will hold money and send check if deposit and account closed Takes weeks plus you can t access money in savings with debit card they will clos it and have to send another but charge you 12 dollars This Bank has no regards to human rights and won t do anything to get you YOUR money in a timely fashion

AVOID THIS BANK AT ALL COSTS I was transferred to Citizens from HSBC They are horrible They issued me 2 Mastercard credit cards one at 26 percent interest and the other at 18 percent and now they won t let me combine the balances onto the lower interest card because of some introductory period BS--when it was their own error that they issued 2 cards in the first place Their website is atrocious They try to gouge you with fees and high interest When you call you get people whose accents are so strong you can t understand what they say and the hold time is endless Stay away

This is the worst bank I have ever banked with They never take out or show the purchases you have made untill days later They literally do whatever they want with your money and make it available whenever they want and I do not recommend them at all This company should not be in business

We banked with citizens for years I got tired of wondering how much was in my account depending on theor mood Transaction would take days weeks sometimes to post they would pullback posted transactions and make them pending again so they can charge overdraft fees Really shiesty stuff I have screemshots amd can prove this So we switched to PNC Around November 20th we got a pamphlet where they offered us 300 00 to come back set up direct deposit and deposit more than 500 00 in a month Also an addt l 100 for makimg so many transactions So we decided to open up the account and keep it as a back up and put all our upcoming vacation money in it To guarantee the 300 I made them my primary bank and direct deposit the entire amount of my check then was going to make them my 2nd bank and pull 200 from each check His was December 4th Well payday comes December 19th 2023and my citizens bank online username doesn t work as if it never did I call and find out that on December 11th they decoded to sever business ties and supposedly sent out a letter this review was wrote on December 27th 2023 which I have yet to receive They froze all my money have lost 600 00 of my money and told me it wouldn t be resolved until the 2nd when they reviewed my account again I went into the branch This was unacceptable 6 days before Christmas and you have over 2 000 00 of my money Why invite me back as a custo er if your intention was to sever ties The bank manager was more than helpful but refused to disclose why this happened I did get the paycheck back but have heard nothing about the addt l 600 that s in limbo Lesson learned I will NEVER bank with them again and will discourage others to as well Bad business practices never change

Use to be a great bank Ready to look elsewhere There atm machine messed up and j have to wait 7 to 12 days for a credit It s not much money but its the principal They continued to use a faulty machine unknowingly to me now they sending out new debit cards to all their customers And I have to change everything It s been a list of never ending drama I been a customer for almost 20 years never would a thought it would come to this

I expected 700 and got 1 08 Sucker-punched

I was offered 700 for putting 20 000 into Citizens w required number of deposits So I set up automatic 100 deposits to comply Now after 6 months instead of getting my 700 bonus I ve made exactly 1 08 NOT 700 At 5 essentially I m OUT a cool 500 DO NOT get suckered avoid Citizens deposit 20k Why Because my auto-deposit for some reason failed Sorry but this 700 seems sucker bait so call me Sucker Their website is stodgy it will not work on Chrome so I must use Edge which I don t like Their people at my nearby branch are nice

Banking with citizens bank is the worse My account was compromised where it was over 600 withdrawn from my accounts I called citizens to dispute the charges It s been almost 10 days after the fact so I decided to call to see what s the hold with refunding me my funds that was stolen from my account I was then told that the investigation did not find anything that was fraudulent I was pissed off The only reason I knew it was fraud on my account was because overdraft funds were being transferred from my savings to checking 4 times consecutively I found it to be strange so I investigated my own account now the bank is refusing to help I m taking all of my earnings out of this waste of a bank

They do hold your money hostage

Tried to give instructions for transfer out upon CD maturing and was told ACH system was down and they didn t know when it would be back up Could only offer to send a check and I live outside US Couldn t tell me when would be back up and couldn t change automatic renewal instructions despite fact that CD doesn t mature for a month Going to complain to CFPB They really do try to keep your money hostage
