Worth it

This program is definitely difficult but all of your professors TA s and cohort mates are always there for you it has been a great experience so far looking forward to my final stack and finding a job

I loved Coding Dojo

If you want to become a software developer I think the value you get from Coding Dojo is well worth it You aren t just paying for videos or content to read they really provide a robust and challenging experience that I will personally never forget The friends you make in your cohort are essential for completing the program and becoming successful The instructors and TAs are aligned with your goals and serve as teachers mentors and councilors You get career service support and are able to become part of a community of developers which helps you transition into the field These things combined with comprehensive and engaging content all combine to make it possible to learn so much in 14 weeks The time estimates are all accurate you will need to spend 50 hours per week or more to succeed but if you enjoy coding and learning it doesn t all feel like work I was actually sad to finish because I enjoyed the grind but now I have the tools and knowledge to continue what is the beginning of a new journey

I started this program with zero experience Had a good platform to learn by myself and have previous lecture recordings The learning platform was also well developed and maintained All around it was a great experience

I enjoyed working with other students and instructors learning many things along the way It s not easy but worth it after putting in so much time and effort

Coding Dojo was a wonderful experience from start to present Instructors and assistants go above and beyond to see you succeed I especially love the life time career services you get with being an alumni as well as the continued opportunities for certification However please continue to work on the learning platform since it was difficult to understand solution walk through a at times Other than that I would highly recommend anyone looking to jump start their tech career to attend

Amazing Experience

I had an amazing experience with Coding Dojo I d highly recommend this program to anyone looking to jumpstart their career in the tech industry like it did for me in just a few weeks after graduating

Studying all weekend paid off

I got my black belt on the first try I definitely had to work for it though I pushed myself and studied continuously for over a week completing one of each of the required assignments per day and doing the optional belt prep assignment as well I cancelled my plans for my three-day weekend and spent the whole weekend studying instead- it looks like my hard work did pay off I feel like my instructor did prepare me and gave me the materials to get a black belt on the exam The TA s and my instructor have all been amazing and super helpful with answering my questions and going over my code with me There are a lot of resources to help but ultimately your success is dependent on you putting the necessary pressure on yourself to learn and practice the material I am satisfied with how much I have learned so far and look forward to honing my skills even more in the personal project

Great experience

I graduated from coding dojo towards the end of November 2020 where I learned 3 full stacks Python Java and React The first couple of weeks were very overwhelming I had never been thrown so much information all at once like at the dojo However once you get the hang of things it s not so bad after all Luckily for the students the TA s and instructors are really good at their job Teaching code to people who may or may not have ever read a single line of code before can be very tough but the instructors manage to pull it off The schedule is typically 9am-3pm with a break usually around 12pm-2pm sometimes earlier The break in between however is used to not only have lunch but to work on your many assignments you will be given Although there are a ton of assignments NONE of them ever feel like busy work Every assignment is given to you for a reason and are altered or sometimes completely removed through feedback the students give I d say my overall experience at the dojo was a 10 10 would recommend to a friend
