Miserable living conditions
My review has two parts The first part covers the general issues faced by everyone staying in Corporation Village while the second part covers the problems I personally encountered I strongly suggest reading the entire review before deciding to stay in Corporation Village and if necessary all the evidence is available When I moved in March 2022 the system and facilities were quite nice We were provided with play stations kitchen accessories and mail service However as of mid-2023 none of these amenities are available The playstation has been taken away most of the kitchen items like blenders have been removed and the mail service has deteriorated significantly Previously a staff member from the reception would deliver letters to individual rooms and provide a notification slip for parcels Now parcels and letters are left at the reception making it difficult to know if any mail has arrived The letters are stored in a large box with hundreds of other mails making it time-consuming to locate your own letter Another issue you will face is with the Hoover vacuum cleaner If you decide to clean your room be aware that the management only has one or two working Hoovers for three buildings in total This means you may have to wait weeks to get one Previously there used to be staff available at the reception to assist with problems even during the night However nowadays I rarely see anyone at the reception If you happen to lock yourself out of your room you would have to plead with the guards endure their rudeness and wait for 30-60 minutes until they arrive with a master key Their behavior is consistently impolite The second part of my review concerns the issues with my own room and the poor management support and services I moved into my new room on September 10th which is located on the top floor Initially there were minor issues such as a non-functioning light outside a border near my door that came off affecting my privacy and some burned marks on the carpet I reported these issues to the management who instructed me to fill out a form for maintenance Unfortunately after nine months these minor issues remain unresolved The main issue began in mid-January when cracks started to appear on my room s ceiling directly above my bed Initially small pieces of concrete fell on my face while I was asleep I promptly informed the manager but no action was taken After two weeks the crack grew larger and rainwater started to seep through Again I reported this to the manager Mr Chris but no action was taken Due to my busy schedule with studies I couldn t follow up on the issue Eventually the manager was changed and I informed the new manager Mrs Cindy about the ongoing problem She made several visits to my room with different agents to assess and fix the crack On March 8th she offered me an alternative room until the repairs were completed When I inquired with the receptionist about the duration of the room switch as I had to plan for shifting I was informed it would only be around 10 days until the 18th as the agents had estimated the repairs to be finished by then I agreed to wait if that was the case However the 18th passed and the issue remained unresolved Mrs Cindy visited my room multiple times to assess the crack but only provided a date of April 6th via email for the repair Since I had exams and had to return home immediately afterward I didn t pursue the matter further Now it s May 18th and the crack has only grown bigger Furthermore there is no longer a manager at the Corporation Village reception as Mrs Cindy has also left I mailed this issue through email and have been waiting for a response for over a month but I haven t received anything Additionally I took this issue to the general manager who assured me that he would look into it and inform me but it has been three weeks now and I haven t heard back from him either

Avoid at all costs
Don t stay at a collegiate property if you can avoid it I am a guarantor for a student who has lived at Nottingham 2022-23 Their experience at Nottingham was of no heating or hot water for two weeks in the coldest part of January 2023 They will ignore official complaints Once they have your money they will ignore you

Literally I WAS ROBBED by one of the
Literally I WAS ROBBED by one of the workers here and it s confirmed by security cameras When I asked the manager Adam why my room was entred without my premission and to return my stolen money by his staff member back he was really rude and said it wouldn t happen And he told me clearly that anyone has the right to enter your room Honestly the rudeness here seems to be a normal thing It s like being surrounded by a A group of THIEVES running the place I warn anyone who wants to stayhere NEVER TO DO SO This is the most unsafe place in all of Norwich If you care about your money or anything valuable such as a passport mobile phone or laptop anything can be stolen here by the people working in the place themselves

800 usd were stolen from my friend by a worker that works there when confronted they were rude impolite and basically told to go f myself They are saying now that they are coaperating with the police but they are simply lying If you don t mind having your money stolen go there

Unauthorized access to the rooms
I am writing this review with a mixture of disbelief and anger stemming from my recent encounter with Crown Place The distressing incident of unauthorized access to rooms swiftly followed by a theft has evoked an intense sense of insecurity It s shocking to learn that one of their staff had casually entered a nearby room before the theft occurred This revelation not only magnifies the gravity of the situation but also exemplifies the management s utter disregard for residents security The management s response to this appalling occurrence has been nothing short of disgraceful Their negligence and lack of urgency in addressing the incident have left me deeply disappointed frustrated and questioning the very commitment they should have to ensure resident safety It s beyond comprehension that such a serious breach of security would be met with such indifference I feel compelled to warn others against staying at Crown Place if they hold any value for their personal belongings and safety My friends who are planning to study in Norwich after me deserve far better treatment than what I have experienced To think that the management has failed to fulfill their basic responsibility of safeguarding rooms from unauthorized access is utterly infuriating In sum my stay at Crown Place has been marred by this incident and the subsequent inadequate response I strongly advise anyone considering staying here to think twice unless they re willing to compromise their belongings and peace of mind The management s ignorant and lackadaisical approach is a clear indicator of their priorities and unfortunately those priorities do not include residents well-being Please note that expressing intense anger and using strong language in a review might detract from the credibility of your message While it s important to convey your frustration doing so in a balanced and respectful manner can often have a stronger impact

The worst experience ever
Avoid this place at all costs It s literally a mess A friend of mine has recently had his money stolen from his room and when he asked the manager to check the security cameras available he snubbed him and rudely refused to do so Honestly it seems like he s a co-conspirator in this robbery The only thing this place its manager and the staff working here deserve is an urgent prosecution

Worst Accomadation Ever
This is about Clarendon Street Nottingham I ve lived at different student accommodations and this was by a mile the absolute worst one The heating doesn t work and they won t fix it no matter how many people ask or how many times you ask It s freezing cold in winter and boiling hot in summer The lifts don t work and they have made no effort to fix it in the past six months The hot water was cut off for three weeks The staff don t listen to maintenance complaints and don t seem to care at all about the residents or the fact that many of them are paying 10K a year to live there and are students They keep coming into the rooms with little notice For the amount you pay the kitchen and toilet is small You can get much better standards of living for less money anywhere else in Nottingham do not waste your money here please You ll be miserable and counting down the days to leave I feel like I am owed a refund for how terrible my experience was and hope no one makes the same mistake I made by choosing to live here

WORST ACCOMMODATION EVER
WORST ACCOMMODATION EVERTheir service is the worst They will not fix any broken stuff in your flat for ages They are extremely rude to the students and they dont bother listening to the complaints They do not keep the place tidy and often there is no one at the reception This is by far the worst place to live in please dont choose this accommodation They dont answer calls or help students in any maintenance issue in the flat or the room They never fix the elevators 2 out of 3 elevators are always not in service

They deserve 1 2 star
If it s possible to give these fraudulent people 1 2 star I would I booked a room with them and canceled the next day when I discovered the payment plan was not for me It s been over a month now and they ve not returned my money I can see a lot of people have made similar complaints and as it is I know they don t care about the 1-star reviews however I ll go to any length to tell the world not to ever do business with this fraudulent company They told me 10 working days but they ve refused to respond to my emails If it s possible I think we should all come together to write a petition against them or sue them

Pillar Box Coventry Please Beware
Grandson had serious leak in his room they didn t move him until electricity cut out water was pooling on the floor pouring in through the fire alarm and bathroom vent He moved to a new room but they refused to help him move because they were short staffed They left his old room unsecured with door off and didn t notify him He had valuable possessions inside that could have easily been taken Six days later the leak still hadn t been fixed water was pooling down into large waste bins and water was leaking into the corridor from ceiling I was worried about the safety of all the tenants and the fire risk because of such a serious leak Then on 11 March he seriously cut his hand out of hours said they would come to assist but didn t He had to walk to walk in centre and they sent him straight to hospital where he had to have nerve repair surgery Then on the following Sun there was no electric in building and the water supply had been cut off When we arrived building was in complete darkness with alarms going off We had to use the phones on our torches to see where we were going The doors were open so any one could have walked in and there was no sign of security or management The notification of planned electrical works taking place had not been passed on to tenants by Pillar Box There was also no water supply Pillarbox said that it was only my grandson who didn t have a water supply but I don t believe that He had to leave this accommodation because it was so bad Please pay the extra and rent somewhere decent
