I felt compelled to write a review as
I felt compelled to write a review as after reading all the terrible reviews I spent the 4 days leading up to our valuation for our remortgage extremely anxious I was wrong to be anxious Our whole experience with Connells was great from start to finish We received our text to book the valuation but they didn t have any days we could do online so I rang them The woman I spoke to on the phone was helpful and got us the next convenient appointment We received a text the day before to tell us our time slot and the man that came to our house was on time and polite He had a look around the house he made pleasant conversation with us confirmed some details and was on his way As he was leaving I asked if we would receive the valuation and report - he explained the process and also seeing that I was nervous told me he had valued a house near by that looked almost identical and it had been valued at exactly the price we had estimated to the building society The BS received the report that afternoon and we were offered our remortgage and the valuation was exactly as expected

I disagree with all the negative reviews Connells performed a valuation on behalf of the bank and it was completely fine We also got Connells to do a Level 3 survey We needed this done very quickly and Adrian was able to arrange a survey within 4 working days no other surveyor could beat this Adrian provided guidance over the phone and promptly contacted the seller to fix the appointment date The surveyor Tiro called us on the day of appointment before the visit and also after the inspection to inform us about any major defects Tiro issued the report within 1 day and Adrian made sure we received it ASAP The report was very detailed very well organised and easy to read through Everything technical was first explained as to what it is and then the condition thereof was described Adrian also told me about Tiro s planned holidays just so in case I had any follow up questions I asked them before he went away Overall I had a great experience The only downside is that the prices are higher than market but I felt it was totally worth it I would definitely recommend

When my broker advised which lender we were going to go with he told me that they d be instructing Connells to perform the valuation My immediate response was to go elsewhere even if it meant it would cost me more based on the reviews here about down valuations etc We were given assurances by the lenders BDM that they would help with challenging any down valuations so we went ahead I couldn t have been anymore wrong than I was The valuation came back at what I was anticipating given the recently sold comparables in the area which indicated that the surveyor had done his research Anyway the lender turned out to be next to useless so we had to approach another lender They too use Connells so when they called and said that they needed to book the surveyor in and advised me it was a different surveyor this time I asked if they could assign the same surveyor given that I d had a conversation with him previously they promptly cancelled the appointment and rebooked with the same surveyor Connells couldn t have been anymore useful if they tried It was Caleb that I spoke to who arranged the swap out of surveyor which was Andrew Britt both are assets to your organisation

J King - beware of this Survayor
appalling These guys will undervalue your property if the bank sends them At less minimum 50K and at leaks minus 500 on rental income Even if other banks surveys and local estate agents is exactly the same These guys have got so many bad reviews also The surveyors who attended my property was J king

Massively undervalued
Absolute joke of a company Please please avoid House was originally valued at 145k in 11 19Had it valued again in 2022 come back at 160k The road is mainly two bed terraced houses mine is a 3 bed end terraced 1of3 on the whole road so cannot compare to others Last end terrace sold for 190k According to online valuations mine should be around 180kNow these helmets have valued it at 150k So despite the housing market going crazy in the uk over the past few years the value of houses going up massively I ve managed to add 5k in 4 years Completely messing with people s lives when trying to organise remortgages

Extremely poor Connells valuation service
Connells were instructed to value my house on behalf of a re-mortgage application with NatWest This was a valuation conducted in person and was significantly lower than expected - 70k lower than the desktop valuation- 20k higher than the previous valuation conducted 5 years prior at the time the house was still being finished a not complete- 150k- 180k lower than like for like houses asking in the area- Up to 240k lower than sold house prices this year of comparable houses in the areaA complete disgrace of a company with no real accountability for their actions and incompetence

Avoid this company
Like the hundreds of people before me Please never use this company They are an absolute disgrace to their profession Its worth an update following Connells reply Connells lied during our building survey and they have doubled down on it Please save your money and avoid The sooner this company goes out of business the better

It a scam
I have just dealt with a shambolic company Got a mortgage 2 years ago with skipton for this property they valued it and everything went smoothly It was bit run down and spent 60k converting property new kitchen extra room and bedroom Had renewal for the mortgage so I can get better LTV rate asked skipton to send a surveyor out with the cost on me the same guy came out that came out 2 years ago and said it s worth less by 500 pounds lol Then comparing it to another property that was sold in June that was run down All too sinister for my liking by the bank and the surveyor Time to go to RICS and FOS

Drastically undervalued the property uttter joke of a company
What a joke this company is and in particular there surveyor W Dewsnap There was lack of comparable data because cottages like ours rarely come up in the area so the numbskull compred it to a terraced house It is not a flipping terraced house FGS This does in no way justify their down valuation We purchased the house below market value at 125 000 refurbed it for 15 000 and he valued it at 130 000 what a complete and utter joke
