Corinthian Travel arranged absolutely perfect trip
Corinthian Travel did an absolutely wonderful job arranging THREE separate itineraries for travel in Egypt Saudi Arabia and Jordan more details below Overall Hugh Fraser at Corinthian used his indepth knowledge of the region to arrange a perfect schedule taking into account weather interests stamina levels and the political situation with excellent logistics airport meeting and transfer assistance drivers perfect hotels and informative and engaging guides with a mastery of their areas who were personable helpful and patient when we changed our minds or needed help with small but important things such as getting cash or finding a clean bathroom In the first incidence see review by J Stoner he arranged a fabulous one week itinerary AT THE LAST MINUTE when the Gaza situation caused my two daughters and I to cancel a trip to Israel arranged by a different provider Having already arranged a three week Egypt Saudi Jordan itinerary for me and a friend Hugh devised a plan for my travel with my daughters that allowed them to see the full range of sites while arranging a different itinery for me to avoid excessive overlapping-- seeing Dendara was a great boone Genius level work which could only be done by someone years of experience and deep ties to the region The following three week itinerary with my friend was a tour-de-force From the first to the last the people who met us and and arranged our transfers the guides and the drivers and driver guides were excellent We were relieved of all the tedium of travel and treated like valued guests by everyone involved The hotels were exactly what we wanted and we ended up deeply appreciating the down-time we had as the heat was more tiring than I anticipated Relaxing by the pool after a morning in the Egyptian sun was much appreciated and not something I would have known to ask for In addition to the Egyptian itinerary our Saudi Arabia and Jordan arrangements were perfect as were the travel notes for each country including a reading list Hugh provided for us before the trip Corinthian did exactly what they promised for us they arranged a tour designed specifically for us brilliantly satifying one person s interest in ancient art and the other s interest in current cultural activities Hugh did indeed provide a truly personalised experience designed around our specific travel style needs and interests

Take the headache out of planning
We recently got back from a trip to India s golden triangle after a month of extended travel This is our second time using Corinthian our first trip was to Egypt and Jordan back in 2021 They really do think of everything to ensure you re comfortable and don t miss anything Guides were fantastic and while I love planning and booking things myself as well they really take the headache out of trying to figure out logistical challenges in India and the Middle East Guides know where to take perfect photos as well and were even tipping locals for us to get some truly stunning pics In Ranthambore National Park they know the best zones for tigers and we were lucky enough to see 5 tigers in just 3 game drives We saw other people miserable in crowded jeeps or giant lories Corinthian ensured we booked a private jeep and naturalist which made the experience truly fantastic I would never have thought to do this booking on my own My ONLY suggestion and this is after getting back from Vietnam on a separate trip it would be fun to try local and reputable street food with our guides We did this frequently in Southeast Asia and it was a blast Don t hesitate to book with them - we re in the US and they ve always found time to call and walk through items in detail with us despite the time difference

Fantastic hassle-free trip
Had a fantastic trip to Cairo and Alexandria with Corithian Everything went smoothly we had a wonderful time and honestly have no complaints We have nothing but praise for the local staff from South Sinai travel From Farid who handled our airport transfers and taught us some key Arabic words whilst waiting for our baggage to Waled Samy who made all our arrangements and was always available at any time to answer questions Both of our drivers deserve praise for their handling of the crazy Cairo and even crazier Alexandrian traffic Mahmoud in Cairo deserves particular praise It was a pleasure to be greeted by his cheerful smiling face every morning and he quickly realised that my arthritis made getting in and out of the minibus difficult and took care to manoeuvre up to high kerbs to make it is easy as possible It is the attention to this kind of small detail that really makes a trip memorable Our guide Dina was fantastic the best guide we have ever had She was great company and an inexhaustible fount of knowledge on everywhere we visited and everything in-between We stayed at the Marriot in Zamalek in Cairo which has everything you could possibly want in a hotel We were disappointed that the balconies in the Gezira tower were out of use but a word to Waled and he quickly had us transferred to the Zamalek tower so we could enjoy the Nile view from our balcony The Cecil in Alexandria is much smaller but we enjoyed it s old world charm It really was the holiday of a lifetime It was our first trip with Corithian but we would definitely use them again

Awe inspiring and everything I d hoped
What an amazing trip The pyramids Valley of the Kings Abu Simbel and all the temples in between including Dendara and Edfu were truly awe inspiring The numbers of visitors was down significantly so this meant that the sites we visited were not crowded This was great for us but not so great for the Egyptian tourist trade May the numbers pick up soon Our guides from South Sinai Travel - Tito Cairo Ramy Luxor and Sam Aswan were amazing knowledgeable funny friendly Our drivers were heroic - navigating the wild traffic in Cairo is there really not a single traffic light in the city calmly driving for 3-4 hours each way through the western desert to Abu Simbel and patiently driving us to and from our hotel in Luxor which was a bit out of town We took the overnight train from Cairo to Luxor which was great Thanks to our guide Shady who ensured we found our cabins My friend and I had adjoining cabins and although we didn t sleep much the journey was comfortable and seamless and I would definitely recommend it In terms of the hotels we found the Marriott in Cairo a bit big and impersonal Al Moudira in Luxor was absolutely fabulous and the Movenpick in Aswan which is situated on an island in the Nile - had spectacular views of the beautiful river Hugh Fraser at Corinthian Travel was extremely helpful when we were planning this trip and his intimate knowledge of this amazing country meant that we were able to fit in everything we wanted plus some other things we hadn t thought of He also encouraged us to factor in some down time I originally wanted to fill every day with sites sites and more sites - but early starts and long days can be exhausting and who doesn t like lying around a pool in a luxury hotel in beautiful warm weather So good call Hugh All in all this was a fabulous trip It ran smoothly from start to finish The people are lovely and friendly the food very good and the weather was perfect NOTE The tipping culture is alive and well so make sure you have plenty of Egyptian pounds Thanks to Corinthian Travel and South Sinai Travel - you certainly know what you are doing

Seamless Trip through Egypt
My wife and I booked at two-week trip to Egypt through Corinthian for late January early February 2024 Before the trip Hugh Fraser took the time to ask questions about our interests and evidently listened to the answers and set up an itinerary that was entirely responsive We went to Cairo and Giza and toured the pyramid sites at Giza Saqqara and Dashur then flew to Aswan and toured Abu Simbel Philae and other sites then Luxor temples and Valley of the Kings etc and returned to Cairo for Islamic and Coptic Cairo sites There were too many highlights to detail but - 1 Hugh suggested time on the Nile and suggested a three-night cruise on a dahabiya look it up then take one - it is a 6-cabin Nile sailing vessel of the kind used by travelers prior to steam ships The dahabiya Nora could tie up anyplace along the river and it did providing us access to some otherwise practically inaccessible sites 2 the guides Eman in Cairo Heba in Aswan Mohammed on the dahabiya and George in Luxor were all very knowledgeable and very friendly - each of them answered all of our questions and each provided time at the various sites for the two of us to take it all in at our own pace 3 do not think about driving in Egypt our drivers especially Mahmoud in Cairo were calm professionals guiding us through a pandemonium of vehicles 4 every hotel in which we were booked exceeded expectations including but not limited to the Old Cataract I enthusiastically recommend Corinthian for travel plan in any destination they handle
