We are still negotiating with Cover more for reimbursement of funds for travel A courteous letter containing all documentation was forwarded to the along with multiple medical certificate 2 months ago The company was recommended by Thor adventure travel Maybe they were having a bad day The documents have been forwarded now 4 times The call center in the Philippines Michael acknowledged sometimes the systems has problems An internal dispute was resolved by the company rep Mr Yi Cai saying we needed to provide the same documents Which they already had The matter is with the FSO of course This tactic of insurer to make life difficult for claimants is well known This is a travel insurance company and you don t want them in your corner Look elsewhere as this company s internal systems by design or accident are dangerously faulty

Very bad claims experience
Very very bad customer service from the claims department I have spent nearly 5 months trying to resolve a claim as my father fell ill with cancer prior to their trip Just today alone I have spent 3 and a half hours back and forth on the phone to not get any where First excuses were that they cannot reach the Dr Surgery now that they have not received an invoice from the surgery The list and story goes on and on full of excuses and lack of communication Sadly even after hours on the phones the contact center is offshore and there is no way to talk directly with a claims officer and they do not respond to emails So next to no chance for claims to move forwards I would avoid using their travel insurance

CoverLESS would be a more accurate
CoverLESS would be a more accurate name They seem incompetently disorganised Months after providing required information no payment was made for claims within policy scope When we called we were asked for the same information When we asked for confirmation of receipt we were told that s a different department Will be complaining to the ACCC next I m not clear how they re permitted to operate

Waste of money getting insurance
What is the point of having travel insurance if they don t cover you for anything Qantas had to change our aircraft so we were bumped from business to economy which we chose because my husband has a bad back and can t stretch out last time he was cramped up he ended up having three months of work coz he couldn t walk or sit So we rang them to see what our options were as Flight Centre also useless told us we either had to come up with 13k to fly Hawaiian Airlines or 7k to fly Jetstar Or the next available flight was 8 days away Turns out they wouldn t cover us because Qantas changed the aircraft But if we missed the flight or it gets cancelled we are covered Should have known better We went to Fiji and used them spend the entire time inside due to a cyclone and needed to change our flights and we went covered for that either We spent 1000 on insurance for peace of nothing

Awful awful incompetent company
Awful awful company I don t even have words No NZ office email even exists the Australian office does not answer emails the NZ office is closed Sundays the Australian customer service centre is in the Philippine and when I have them my policy number they said we can t open your policy contact the nz office STAY AWAY I can t even find out on their website if you can extend insurance I encourage you NO NOT use this company They are hideously and utterly incompetent

The worst of the worst
The worst of the worst My wife was injured in an accident in Asia and they were of no help in finding medical assistance It took them 24 hours to get back to us while on holiday a number of times We arrived in Seoul the nearest major city of 12 million and they had no contacts there so they recommended we travel 45 minutes in a train to get to a hospital that a couple of their patients had been to We ended up walking down the road to a major hospital 300 metres from our hotel When we got back to Australia and put in our claim there so called 10 days to assess a claim is really 10 days delay every time you talk or correspond with them So 2 months later we are still waiting to get paid 4000 in costs and numerous correspondence and 2 calls to the call center gets you know were We have travelled with covermore for over 20 years and had over 50 trips so no thanks for being a loyal customer When you travel you expect the insurer to have medical support world wide if you get into trouble with Cover More you are on your own

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY We had a family member fall severely ill overseas and we needed to make a claim Cover-more were completely incompetent putting up every hurdle possible to delay urgent repatriation I would not want anyone else to go through what we did to get our family member home This company is a SCAM they will happily take your money and not provide the service they outline in their PDS They don t have case managers and their communication is terrible meaning every time you ring you start from scratch Appalling

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY Denial of claim following illness and major urgent surgery in UK done on the UK NHS This surgery was done within my travel insurance dates Subsequently I was not allowed to fly from UK to Australia for 6 weeks following surgery I was covered for surgery by the UK NHS however other medical associated expenses during recovery fell outside the original return date No warning from case manger about this policy Some companies do cover you until you return home NOT COVER-MORE You never know if you will get sick or have an accident and then how long it will take you to recover which could put you outside your insured dates

Rubbish service - look elsewhere
I called in to make a claim while in the Emergency department in Vietnam as cover more s emergency number only works if you have international roaming i had a local sim The phone call took 50 minutes 3 different consultants and was verified multiple times and in the end the case manager phone dropped out Yet they still needed to wait until i returned to australia to cover my minor bill In the end i paid for it myself as i was sick of being passed to the next consultant and its been almost two weeks and every time i call in i am just told to wait for a call back Experience has caused undue stress and really recommend you look elsewhere for travel insurance
