Just arrived at this dump Having to queue in a room given the circumstances with COVID Now been waiting to check in for 30 minutes still no where near the desk no staff to inform anyone what s happening just basically left to queue and get on with it No staff to apologise for the wait Table booked for 6 30 for dinner but still to check in at 5 30 Don t think we ll be checked in by then A first impression is a lasting impression and I ll not be back here

Back in the day this place was great under Stakis then Hilton management There has been little to no investment in the property since it shows This isn t related to Covid - it predates that by about 20yrs The rooms are tired and not very clean Food is appalling a served plated buffet and a health risk identified to management no response and Environmental Health Hotel Management must wonder why their foyer seating area is full of residents eating food from local takeaways Plenty of Covid advice signage re social distancing etc however not adhered to by staff or a lot of guests Bar staff failing to wear masks also All in all a let down really It would be an idea to knock the place down and start again - the faux Roman statues or mouldy poolside carpet don t add to the look of the place Still no response from management with regards to my complaint a week later Under the right management this place could be amazing again

DO NOT RECOMMEND Hands down the worst hotel I have ever stayed at Staff openly admitted that the whole place is a shambles Long check in ques The rooms were very dated the bathroom had not been cleaned disgusting sink shower and toilet and the place was covered in dust Found food under the beds so highly suggest they employ new cleaners Also most of the facilities were closed which is fine as there is loads to do around the area but for the price they charge is daylight robbery Staff were rude and unhelpful I never leave bad reviews but I wouldn t want anyone else to stay here Would give 0 stars

Avoid like plague I don t even know where to start We ve booked a room for two nights but only stayed one There was a hole in the mattress on my side of the bed almost fell out of it the whole hotel stinks of old outdated dirty only one hour at the pool breakfast was a disaster we felt like we went on holiday to fast We didn t want to stay another minute horrible experience

HORRIFIC

Arrived at 3pm told check in was at 4pm luckily we joined the queue and got checked in at 4 45pm Still people queuing to check in at 6 30pm Charged 225 per night Cancelled 2nd night immediately Lobby bar area was like a disaster zone hundreds of people queuing for drinks take aways left all over the place empty glasses all over the place kids running round screaming Went for dinner was like something out of an 18-30s club Queues with tray to be served up slop from the buffet Staff swearing in front of children people arguing with staff waiting for drinks Signs all over the place demanding masks must be worn then half the staff with masks around chin other staff no mask at all My wife witnessed racism in the pool Rubbish and cigarette butts lying around outside Rooms stink stains all over carpets filthy carpets hasn t been decorated since 1974 Get out while you can cancel at all costs if you have the option The best thing for this hotel would be an insurance job

only 2 level access showers

visited this hotel on 16th august 20201 As a disabled person with mobility problems my daughter booked an overnight stay with specific needs eg level access shower as i physically cannot use a bath on arrival we checked in and my daughter specified level access shower but when we went to the room it had a over bath shower which I could not possibly access suffice to say my daughter went to reception to repeat her request for level access shower we then got change of room only to discover yet another over bath shower I could have cried as my daughter hasnt seen me in a long time and wanted to give me a treat I sat in the room while she went to reception yet again and they relocated us to original room This is a hotel described as disabled friendly but according to recent feedback of my daughters review the hotel has only 2 rooms with level access showers I find this totally unnacceptable in this day and age As a person with mobility problems my needs were clearly unmet I was left feeling humiliated exhausted and suffice to say will never return to this establishment again

Only booked for 1 night horrible damp

Only booked for 1 night horrible damp smell at front door which is also really strong in the room Did tell reception but as only here one night thought we could cope Personally would have left but hubby told me to stop complaining Only buffet available for dinner didnt want anything on offer turkey - a week after xmas no thanks Have had windows open 3 hours and its still rank tatty smelly and over priced Honestly dont book Its AWFUL my son wants to go home
