Damira Sharland Fareham Hampshire I m not actually sure that these people are dentists My son used the emergency walk in service Was told he needed treatment and would be about 250 a figure just pulled out of thin air Had to pay a deposit for the next day treatment that wasn t given and nowhere near 250 They have a poster detailing NHS prices in reception but don t offer this service A truly awful place that let my son leave still in excruciating pain They should be ashamed They need reporting This is a clear example of how broken things are

Very poor sevice
I made an booking Damira dental in Southbourne and paid for consultation with an independent dentist because my filling fell out I got there and had xray done Afterwards I was told by dentist she can t do any work until she gets her NHS number which can take up to 3 moths It was totally waste of everything I left the place Not good service at all

Today
Today I visited Damira Dental Surgery bury knowle in Oxford for my appointment Although I arrived on time Dr Andrea Bosson was 20 minutes late and did not offer an apology Despite this I believed the conversation would be pleasant Unfortunately he ruined my day with his rude behavior During the treatment despite being in pain he handled my mouth and teeth roughly without any consideration for minimizing my discomfort He even caused a bruise under my tongue with the device used to keep mouth open He stated If you re not tolerable enough you are not capable of having this treatment Is he really a doctor A doctor should know how to make a patient calm and cooperative during treatment I was not screaming I was simply trying to cooperate Treating a human like a machine is unacceptable I had to ask him to stop the treatment and made a new appointment with another doctor There was a complete lack of compassion and care in his service

Damira Southbourne - be very careful Be very careful here Make sure that you carefully check the medication you are given and that it doesn t conflict with other medication you are taking Also be careful that your treatment plan is correct and not just guess work Very very poor experience

Long waiting times Presently waiting 49 minutes over for treatment
Presently waiting 49 minutes over scheduled time No explanation I asked receptionist the person of colour with the long eyelashes after they were 15 minutes late what was going on She didn t come back to me until I went up and asked again 30 minutes after my appointment time She told me she had texted the dentist but she hadn t come back to her There needs to be a better system here The receptionist told me that someone had just left and I was next but 15 minutes afterwards I am still waiting Still no information or explanation Completely useless

Without doubt just the most disorganised horrendous service I ve had three appointments cancelled with minimal notice Called to complain and they got me an appointment for 12 00 today Waiting half an hour or so when I asked the receptionist when my appointment was likely to be and was told between 2-3 Poor lady not her fault at all and felt bad as other patients all delayed and asking the same question You are wasting your time with this practice for sure

Don t trust the payment system
When I booked the intial check-up over the phone Later the receptionist called and said that the Practice Manager wants me to pay up front or the appt would be cancelled How rude and this should have been a red flag I then had a substantial amount of treatment and as a private patient I was careful to always pay the full amount up front Afterwards I booked the next check-up and paid up front 60 Having had this check-up I was informed that I owed 60 I queried this and the receptionist said they would get back to me Also I said thet if they could show me why I had to pay another 60 I would happily pay it 2 days later I had a phone call and the receptionistre said you ve got to produce your bank statements How rude

I am an older person with Damira dental
I am an older person with Damira dental on the Isle of Wight My Grandaughter is also with them Over the last two years I have been cancelled more times than I have been seen I pay a significant amount each month for this My Grandaughter has never been cancelled an even had an appointment the day after mine was cancelled I have telephoned and complained on the phone to my dental surgery but each time I go online to find the head office details I find the info is out of date and not available This is beginning to feel ageist unfortunately I am at the end of my patience and am now considering cancelling this long standing arrangement I could of saved over the last 2 years the amount of times I have been seen

10 minutes to answer the phone
The customer service at Damira Oxford Brookes has declined significantly since Damira took over from Studental as it was called It is virtually impossible to contact them by phone I typically wait 10 minutes for the phone to be answered Emails are often not answered I find the best way to make contact with them is to go to the surgery in person The only redeeming feature of the practice is that my dentist Juni Gurung is excellent

Ruislip branch - that dentist is just awful what she wants is getting your money and get you out of her chair as soon as possible I never have a dental checkup last less than 2 mins and charge me 20 seriously if I can find any other dentists in my area I will be long gone
