Waste of time After waiting months they cancelled 90 mins after they were supposed to be here Just as well after reading reviews I think it has worked out in my favour

Waste of my time
Had a visit over 3 weeks ago to view and price up an insulation job Heard nothing back despite being told they would get back to me with a price Phoned them 2 weeks ago to chase them up and heard nothing since Waste of time

Beware to Read The Small Print
Folks Beware if dealing with Direct Savings I purchased Solar panels from them 7 years ago with a guarantee of replacement parts if they fail some parts for up to 30 years Sound too good to be true They stopped working this year and Direct savings were quick to distance themselves from any involvement in the Guarantee saying they did not fit the panels - it was a company organised by them who they no longer work with They also confirmed the makers would replace the parts which they did What they negated to mention was that the parts were covered but labour is NOT after 2 years This was omitted from conversation at the time of purchase and was cleverly hidden in Direct Savings small print The panels cost 5k approximately to fit and to replace a single panel which we need will cost over 1K

Absolute waste of time
Absolute waste of time Completed surveys etc and gave a start date of work to be completed Cancelled the lot 3 days prior to install date after all preparation was made for the install Would not recommend this company

Direct Waste of Time
Complete and utter waste of time space and energy DO NOT entertain this company of jokers who kept my daughter hanging on for 2 months without a boiler so no hot water and no heating over the coldest period of the year so far Told her she was eligible for a new boiler and insulation upstairs and downstairs They just had to check the numbers and would then arrange for their tradesmen to survey the jobs before giving start date They would phone to confirm details with her So far so good all sounded very positive but then silence Daughter phoned numerous times and was promised someone would call back This went on for weeks until today when yet again she called them only to be told she is not eligible So she was eligible a month ago but is no longer I can t describe here how enraged the whole family is at how my daughter has been strung along I can only advise please DON T GIVE THEM THE TIME OF DAY

Not trustworthy
In August 2022 I paid 96 upfront for an Energy Performance Certificate EPC My home was surveyed for a couple of hours in September and I never heard from Directsavings afterwards I enquired several times by email about the missing EPC without success I also sent two official complaints to the company to which I never received an answer In January 2023 I received a phone call and was told that the survey would have to be re-done as the photos taken at my home got lost and the reason must be my slow internet connection Directsavings agreed with me to reimburse me for the 96 paid last August It has now almost been 3 months since that agreement was made and I am still waiting to receive my money back

Prize for rudest phone call I ve ever had
Emailed for a quote got a call back Never had a ruder phone call from a business ever He basically asked for 100 to show up and quote because customers don t take up their quotes I said I m not other customers well you are another customer He signed off by saying I don t want your custom anyway and put the phone down on me

Rude staff pestering
Non stop trying to call me despite telling them I was no longer interested Picked up today and told them I was no longer interested a really rude employee had a go at me not going ahead and then hung up Would not recommend using the company based on the interactions I ve had with them

Avoid at all costs if you care for your home
Held off writing this review in the hope we would have some resolve Please if you do anything in life avoid getting involved with this company Two week job and now on week 10 No heating incomplete electrics insulation and plaster needing redone Damage to furnishings and fittings damaged double glazing 4 inspections hundreds of emails and numerous phone calls With no resolve and to be honest very little response Most heart wrenching experience of my life Funder inspection reported one of the worst projects he has ever seen Wall attached to floating shelf that wasn t removed Wall now wobbles More plaster on the carpets than on the walls Skirting removed left in the rain for 9 days then refitted Direct Savings default response - fitted to manufacturers specifications 5 star review below is electrician subcontracted by Direct Savings reviewing plumber employed by direct savings Pay attention to the real reviews - I wish I did One positive - company is very attentive when trying to secure contract That doesn t last Update 22nd December 2024 Week 24 Direct Savings have asked us to remove this review as part of their negotiation to complete the work compensation and completing installation of heating Unfortunately due to Direct Savings we will not be sitting cosy this Christmas 24 weeks since they walked through my door left me without heating and damaged our home 8 5 degrees in my home on the run up to Christmas Do your research before dealing with this company

Dodged a bullet
Thankfully just read these reviews and feel like we ve dodged a bullet Direct Savings made an appointment with us for their surveyor to come round I finished work early so I could be there waited 3hrs but noone turned up Called their office but no reply This is after receiving 2 text messages from them to confirm the appointment Not a good start to their service and lots of terrible customer reviews below to suggest it would only gets worse once they start the work
