For the collector of vinyl or CDs Discogs is the very best site for second hand items there is no comparable site that I know of In my opinion Discogs feedback system is far superior to eBay s system as the seller is not treated unequally and can leave negative feedback for a buyer who messes them around Be wise and check feedback ratings and make sure you understand the condition grades before you buy If you do have trouble with a buyer or seller it s easy enough to block them and refunds are straight forward enough via PayPal Personally I have always had good responses from customer service and they have always sorted out any issue I had Just remember that as a buyer you won t be Molly coddled on Discogs but you will be treated equally and fairly I love the site it s great

This site is one of the best site of internet history in my opinion Allows you to Make a virtual collection which is really pratical for middle to huge collectors instead of digging through your collection to find what records you have just look up on your discogs collection Make a wantlist and when something on your wantlist is on sale discogs immediatly pm you Search for some rares records without digging through ebay and other sites See exactly how good a seller is Join groups of peoples that like the same music as you discuss trade buy sell records between the members of that group And a lot of others interesting things for music lovers music collectors Highly recommended site

not automated

First time using discogs and im realy impressed with service wasnt automated as i had a good email conversation with dom which some sites dont offer would gladly use again very happy with price thanks guys

Only one transaction but well worth five stars

I should make it clear that this review is based on just one my first transaction on this site With such an overall low rating I did think twice before buying on Discogs but as I really wanted the disc went for it My seller turned out to be a charming bloke in Portugal who send me an email confirming every stage of the transaction and the disc was received well packed and in good condition in record time excuse the almost pun I m sure people are more likely to give feedback following a bad experience rather than a good one and usually there s no smoke without fire but this was an all round satisfactory experience I may well try my luck again

Discogs is great for the music

Discogs is great for the music collector Just don t expect to be molly coddled as a buyer like you would be on Ebay as long as you follow the simple guidelines and use some common sense then this site will be a good experience for you It beats all other music sites for filling the gaps in your vinyl or CD collections So much better than Ebay because when a buyer messes you about you can leave them negative feedback which helps to keep other sellers safe they can also leave negative for you too of course Sellers are treated with equal respect and I ve never had a problem that could not be sorted out on Discogs I ve been using the site for nearly 10 years

Easy transaction and great value

Easy transaction and great value through the Discogs market I was surprised by a number of negative reviews but smooth transactions don t usually generate user response at least not at the rate of a bad experience

Pretty much perfect

Placed countless orders on this website and regularly buy from certain sellers Any record you want will be on the website and some at cheaper prices than in most record shops or even ebay All the sellers i have purchased from have always offered very reasonable and fair postage and very helpful should you need to query anything But like has been said in previous reviews any problems encountered will be caused by certain sellers trading Overall discogs has helped me find some very rare hard to find records to add to my collection with all the information necessary for instance what condition the records are in Highly recommended

Better than all other sites for finding cheap classic rock

I ve been buying from this site and it s vendors that come and go for a couple months now It s been reliable cheap and the vendors have been very friendly If your looking for obscure rare albums this is the go to site for at least references I ve purchased rock classics for as cheap as a buck And often have been able to bundle other albums from the same vendor in one packkage You ll pay more at Amazon and eBay for what you can find here As far as the community and social network aspect goes I wouldn t know and don t care I m here to build a vinyl collection not to face book
