Wonderful RSA experience
I rarely award 5 5 stars for any product or service but in this case I am delighted to make an exception Last September I reviewed safari holidays and travel agents in South Africa and after seeing outstanding reviews for Discover Africa in Cape Town I decided to use them My advisor with DA was the excellent Vihann Van Wyck and I found him efficient knowledgeable and competent He organised a 9 day holiday consisting of a 4-day safari at the wonderful Timbavati Nature Reserve in the Greater Kruger National Park followed by 4 days in Cape Town touring the stunning scenery surrounding it The service from start to finish was excellent from being met at Johannesburg airport by a personally chauffeured car to wonderfully attentive staff at Timbavati to a great personal chauffeur guide showing me around the beautiful Cape town area

A Superb Safari Experience
Our Kruger Park safari has been one of our most memorable holidays ever We enjoyed every minute of it even though we hardly had a moment to relax Vihann our Discover Africa expert listened attentively to our ideas for our safari and what we hoped to see and came up with an excellent itinerary staying three nights in each of three different locations and camps Southern Kruger Sabi Sands and Mluwati Concession All the accommodation selected was superb even though every camp was unique in its setting accommodation and set-up It may or may not have been intentional but as this was our first safari experience it worked very well that the first camp was enclosed the second an open camp but with a perimeter that kept larger animals out and the third a completely open camp so that we felt surrounded by all manner of wild animals and meant that we gradually acclimatised to the African wilderness over the course of our holiday We particularly appreciated that everything from local flight transfers to laundry which meant not having to over-pack was arranged and included in the fully inclusive package The car transfers between camps were seamless and we felt generally very well fed and looked after by all the staff who were always attentive and accommodating All our safari guides were very knowledgeable and we very much enjoyed being in small groups when out on safari drives

Southern Africa 2024
We knew that our Southern Africa trip was going to be great but it surpassed our expectations We enjoyed an unforgettable 18 days journey through Namibia Botswana and Zimbabwe filled with remarkable wildlife and such diverse landscapes from arid to semi-arid desert to coastlines to wetlands We began our journey in Namibia staying at the Desert Hills Lodge the Naukluft NP near Sossusvlei where we explored the towering red dunes and iconic Deadvlei clay pan Afterward we traveled to the coastal town of Swakopmund for a night where a desert tour introduced us to the unique flora and fauna of the Namib Next we ventured to Twyfelfontein s simply magnificent Onduli Ridge where we explored ancient rock art sites and set off on a 4x4 excursion to spot elephants and the elusive black rhino Moving on to Etosha Heights Private Reserve we enjoyed thrilling game drives observing Namibia s wildlife in its natural habitat including elephants a rhino giraffes oryxes springboks etc After a brief stay in Windhoek we flew to Botswana s Okavango Delta where we stayed at Camp Okavango and Camp Moremi Here we immersed ourselves in the delta s spectacular waterways and rich ecosystem spotting hippos lions zebras antilopes elephants and a vibrant variety of birds on mokoro canoe rides and game drives Our final destination was Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe where we stayed at the charming Pioneers Lodge Seeing the magnificent falls was a breathtaking highlight that capped off our adventure We owe much of this seamless experience to ADELLE BELL from Discover Africa Her expert planning and support made the trip effortless allowing us to focus on enjoying every moment of this unforgettable journey Thank you belle Adelle for this simply magnificent experience Marco and Sibylle from Switzerland

A gift to yourself a memorable experience
I found the agency through an Internet search and contacted it without really knowing where I was landing We were late and had special requests Susan our agent understood our requirements very well and worked to meet them All her proposals were very well targeted Very pleasant to have someone listening Easy interaction even at a distance great availability And this didn t stop once the reservations were made I m thinking in particular of the follow-up for health and consular requirements On site everything worked very well Smooth on-time transfers attentive very professional staff We stayed at two lodges in Kenya and Tanzania for a total of 6 days Two different experiences two top experiences Beautiful facilities friendly smiling staff competent and attentive driver guide Two game drives per day a lot of animals small ones big ones thousands of pictures lots of magical moments My siblings and I went on this safari to honour our recently deceased older brother The response from the people on site was simply incredible in its warmth and humanity Yes a safari isn t cheap but it s an experience a gift to yourself A memorable experience
