We had our garage door serviced Full payment up front was required which should have been a red flag It cost us 100 for 10 mins work Next day I saw the unit cover was missing My wife noted the engineer had not mentioned this Upon contacting them they said the engineer had told my wife that the cover was cracked it was not and that due to the unit s age they could not replace it Despite my wife calling them to explain no such conversation had occurred she was told that whilst they sympathised no partial refund would be given and that the engineer had been reprimanded Avoid

Doormatic - poor accountability
Installed a new 4000 electric garage door in April 2003 from Doormatic It was jammed 3 days after it was installed They came to fix it one week later Then it was jammed again after 1 month then again after 1 month then again in October I initially requested for a refund and Steve the General Manager refused Then I requested for a change of model as replacement volunteering to pay for installation and they also ignored me After sales staff was friendly but they are short staffed

Don t bother servicing garage doors
If you re getting garage doors serviced - don t bother 120 for 10 mins service Didn t even take the back cover off Got a torch checked the doors opened gave it a spray with WD-40 and job was done Don t waste your money

Door quality and installation workmanship is poor
Do not get garage installed by these folks The garage door is off poor quality and got locked itself within the first year Imagine an open garage door which doesnt close They didnt agree to send anyone and asked us to get it repaired from insurance I did that and due to external intervention a couple of slats were broken In a good business practice one would expect them to fix it but they didnt Absolute bizarre business practice They should have not only paid for the external intervention but also changed the door slats but they declined Horrible experience so if you buy from them its at your own risk

Installed the new sectional door
Installed the new sectional door however still waiting for installation of the new motor After several attempts I did eventually speak to someone who had a very disrespectful a manner and just made poor excuses Very disappointing experience Have been promised a call back however this is the fifth such promise Based on current experience would not recommend

Never arrived and left us waiting for hours then made up some story about calling yet then gave a quote saying they had been the here and changed their story that they had measured a similar garage somewhere else They were passive aggressive and rude Good luck if you deal with people like this

AVOID IF YOU DONT WANT TO BE RIPPED
AVOID IF YOU DONT WANT TO BE RIPPED OFF If it was possible on this site to give no stars that s what Dormatics deserve Paid around 120 for a service The engineer that came was not even here for 5 minutes and said he d checked and everything was in working order He did not even oil the garage doors We queried it only to be told that was normal he did not even oil the sides and spring at the top This was a few months ago Recently the garage door jammed and we were determined to not use Doormatics We used Wessex Garage Doors They were brilliant and fixed the door and oiled it This was when we found out that doors are meant to be oiled at least during a service but ideally more frequently So I m afraid Dormatics are nothing but dishonest and untrustworthy and we have told our neighbourhood community to not use - go to Wessex Garage Doors instead as you will get an honest and reliable service with them

Had a garage door fitted in October 22
Had a garage door fitted in October 22 thought it was a bit expensive at the time but looked fairly good worked ok until June 24 when it started jamming up so called this company because it was still within the guarantee period but was told it was 129 for a service money upfront which I paid got an appointment for the Friday Friday morning came got a call from them cancelling the appointment was told they would reschedule for Monday they turned up was here 10 minutes told me there was a broken strap which they would order apparently the strap is not included in the guarantee engineer told me I would have to pay for the part which was ok the company rang me a few days later to tell me the part was 30 40 to fit the part vat engineer turned up was here for half an hour so the total bill was 225 for 40 minutes work could of brought the part off the internet for a tenner not impressed one bit got well ripped off by this lot anybody thinking of having there door serviced think again 129 to spray abit of wd 40 on the tracks

Very bad communication
Very bad communication Pushy employees that made us pay a deposit early our fault We were told our deposit will be on hold before we choose the proper garage door we want They proceeded with ordering a garage door we didn t want although they had been explicitly told to wait Now they are bickering about not refunding our deposit Avoid this company

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY
STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY IT WILL COST YOU MORE MONEY If I could give no stars I would We arranged a new garage door via this company and said that we wanted an electric roller door but that we need top security due to having 2 motor cycles left in out garage We were told that the electric roller door offered by them was the most secure door they offer also the most expensive and it also came with a very loud alarm From day one we have nothing but issues The alarm kept triggering for no reason and the so called really loud alarm was a mere annoying beeping noise We had people come out multiple times to look at this and they didn t know why it was agreed that the person would report back that we required a new sensory on the door and we heard nothing until we chased them We had appointments not met as no one turned up This is however not the main issue Multiple times we would come back to our garage and the door was wide open advertising to everyone that we had motorcycles kept in our garage Every time we closed the garage door I would stand by it and watch it close and listen to the locks clicking shut so I know the door was shut when we walked away but would come back hours later and it would be wide open We called Door Matic multiple times about this and was met with unprofessional attitude and a I don t really care about it attitude Until this year in April on returning home to find the garage door wide open again We closed this and kept checking that it was closed until we went to bed However in the morning I woke up to having my garage broken into and the most secure door they offer was folded in half like a piece of paper and pulled out of the runners oh with no alarm going off When we called Door Matic to inform them that due to their faulty door that kept opening and them not repairing it I had now been robbed I was basically told that I was lying and that the electric door wouldn t open on its own however their records will show that we called MULTIPLE times to report this fault and now it has costs us 2 motorcycles They rejected that any of this was their fault but if the door didn t keep opening on its own then the chances are that the thief s on the look out wouldn t have seen my nice new motorcycle on display for them The resolution they offered was to come round and replace the door at my cost which I obviously declined To add insult to injury I have now just received a letter from them reminding me that my garage door is due a service although they know we no longer have that door is that meant to be some kind of joke after knowing the sensitive issue we have been through being robbed of thousands of pounds in motorcycles due to their faulty door they send me a letter about that fault door We had a garage door replaced by another company that informed us that the electric garage door fitted by Door Matic was merely a window shutter with no security at all This is probably the most unprofessional business that I have ever dealt with
