Minus 1 on customer service
Minus 1 on customer serviceI thought online banking was meant to be easy- obvs not in EBS case Trying to get my PAC activated is like trying to walk through the gates of heaven- have rang EBS internet banking as only they can activate it and I ve been left on hold 4 separate times for 20 mins I also emailed them and whilst there is standard reply within seconds 3 weeks later I m still awt for a person to contact me- give up and all I wanted to do was save money Going to use Credit Union and close EBS account - maybe thats what they want us all to do

Strange rules Poor service
I went to open Money manager account with them basically to lodge my salary But they rejected application just because I requested to include my full name as in passport They just want to use first and last name And even not ready to include initials of second third name Good that I experienced their poor service even before opening the account and didn t went ahead to open account

Poor customer service
I got locked out of my online account even though I had entered the correct codes as I had them written down in front of me Since then I have tried calling the helpline on numerous occasions but I can not get any answer even having stayed on the phone for 30 minutes each time Still locked out of my account and bewildered with the inefficiency of customers service

Free of charge bank account but not worth it
I have been with EBS over 6 months now and I am still having issues with them It took 3 months to have the bank account up and running between branch visits application forms and phone calls I still cannot log into the online banking straight away and I ve just found out my account was not set up online correctly Out of all my standing orders my mortgage one has failed twice and this is still not resolved It is so obvious that someone in the building business one day woke up and decided to go into banking because it s easy money decades later still have no clue about banking

There are without doubt the worst bank
There are without doubt the worst bank I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with Absolutely appalling customer service haven t a clue what one hand is doing from the other they have shut all there branches so you can t service your account The Security on the account is joke and see you running through countless hoops to shocking technical problems that cause nothing but heartache Do yourself a favour find a better bank that actually cares about customers

Worse than useless
Worse than useless if we could give them 0 stars we would Awful customer service As someone else said it is very puzzling how they are still in business as they are so extremely unprofessional The only thing they are ok at is hooking unsuspecting new customers then the mistakes and unprofessionalism begins There is a reason they are the smallest Irish financial institution propped up by bailouts Do not touch with a bargepole

Absolutely awful app -totally useless
Absolutely awful app -totally useless - the EBS seems to be in total denial about how useless its app is - cannot access one s own money to pay for many items - tells you it is sending a message to your phone to allow you to proceed with your payment - the message never arrives - frustrating and embarrassing - looks like one s account does not have any money whe you know the account is in credit What a mess - would give it minus stars if I could Do not use

This is a basic bank account with a debit card Had to shift after Ulster Bank shut and I was looking for free banking Direct debits and standing orders work fine but EBS online banking does not work The website cannot communicate with my android phone to verify transfers or set up new payees Its only good for checking online transactions After wasting hours to try and get it to work I ve given up on it
