Ecostrad The definition of bad All fur no
My previous review was based on our experience up until today s date As we ve attempted to familarise ourselves with the radiators we ve encountered even more issues Support staff are contactable by email and phone On the whole we ve found the support to be good but our issue is why should we have to contact Ecostrad at all Our view is that the operating system on the radiators and apps is not at all user friendly That apps wasn t a typo You actually need two different apps to work certain features of these radiators It couldn t be clunkier if it tried In addition to the previous review we d advise potential customers to be aware of Loud Beeping Noise The radiators make a loud beeping noise when turned on off or moving through settings I was informed the noise was a safety feature When asked what safety the noise offered answer came there none Turning the radiators on early or having to change settings in the morning wakes the household If you live on your own you may not mind the beeping noise If you re a household with children vulnerable adults or those with autism avoid these radiators The operating system is designed by in-house developers I asked that a feature be added allowing existing customers the option to remove or reduce the volume of the beeping and be available to customers I fear this will be ignored Wifi ConnectionThe radiators are prone to dropped wifi connection even when your wifi is up and running and no other device in the house is affected You then have to reset the connection of every radiator that has lost connection add them to the app then the heaters room and then zone section If you use these options Be prepared for this It s happened a number of times AppsYes Apps These radiators are controlled by not one but two apps Why The app I refer to as the standard app is Ecosystem It s remarkably clunky and over-involved The in-house developers really need to overhaul this The rooms and heaters sections seem duplicative at least to this customer More room for app design and less advertising their radiators might also be a useful idea My partner has cognitive impairment we chose these smart radiators to assist How wrong we were While he could use Hive without any issue he cannot use this system on the radiators themselves or the Ecosystem app As these are smart radiators that can be managed by voice control I decided to buy a Google home device This we believe will make turning on heating possible for my partner However it s operated by a totally different app - Smartlife This means each radiator will have to be connected to this additional app and Google Home The downside is - voice control will only activate an individual radiator Rather than say heating on to heat the whole house He d have to say kitchen on bathroom on etc It really is ludicrous SchedulingI set everything up as guided Nothing I tried several times and even deleted and added the app again nothing It shows the timescale but it will not activate They look great The heat provided is good But something really significant has been lost along the development path ease of use by the customer These could be really great radiators one day If the in-house developers make significant changes to the radiator and app operational systems As they stand they re less than average A shame I honestly wish I d never bought them N B all of my issues have been fed back directly to Ecostrad

Stay away from Ecostrad
Stay away Worst purchase ever made Seems like the electrics in these typically fail in and around warrenty I count anyone as lucky if it fails before Like so many others got a Ecostrad iQ Ceramic radiator -- now a dud hanging on my wall Glad it s the only one Used it for couple of winters Now display comes on but fails to heat Keep in mind two winters only adds up to appx 6 months intermintently in total 450 down the drain because the electrics of a very important electrical device isn t working Top it off the manufacturer said it can t be repaired So they ve made a product they don t supply parts and offer repairs for Genius Wish I d known all this before Felt I needed to voice my opinion now since realising I m one of many who experienced something similar

Utter waste of time and money
I purchased the ecostrad addesso iq for 500 in 2023 - lasted one winter and like other reviews it has failed already Utter rubbish and poorly designed as there is no way to reset this piece of cr p Having drilled into tiles to hang this piece of rubbish I now have to go through the inconvenience of getting it replaced Will never buy their products again

Ecostrad Ceramic IQ
I have four Ecostrad ceramic IQ radiators I had to replace one after it developed a fault when it was two months out of warranty and I have another doing the same thing now These are the worst radiators I ve ever come across They just don t last and nobody at the suppliers is interested in solving the problems In addition to this they don t seem to know anything about electronics

Don t believe the hype Buyer Beware
Don t believe the hype re new improved version These radiators are a technological disaster The manufacturer has the audacity to praise its in-house IT development team when that team of professionals didn t have the foresight to allow previous customers who bought their radiators less than a year ago to update these new settings on the radiator display screen No updates allowing previous customers to boost their heating How long till these new radiators are out-of-date As for intuitive That s the biggest joke of all If you use the in-house wifi system Ecosystem be prepared for your radiators going offline constantly You ll then have to manually add each radiator to your wifi again and again Ecostrad attempted to claim my wifi had dropped If that was the case why was is my wifi dropping incosnsitently with Ecostrad radiators but nothing else in my home No answer was the loud reply If you decide to test Smart Life and migrate it ll wipe all of your Ecosystem settings so you ll have to add each radiator again It ll also fail to initiate your heating schedule i e a timed period when the radiators turn on then off If you then move to say Google Home as I did them it ll only turn the radiators on or off not adjust temperature Often as not Google will inform you that the radiator hasn t been set up You ll then have to re migrate from Smart Life and hope for the best Three app systems three and none of them anywhere as coherent or user friendly as Hive If I sound angry that s because I am I spent just over 2 000 on my radiators months ago and now a new improved radiator has been launched but there s no update for previous owners Does that sound like a customer focused development team The response below is laughable I ve spent valuable time attempting to get clairty I still am AVOID That s to say nothing of the absolutely ludicrous beeps that are the bane of our lives an unnecessary noise that illustrates these IT professionals have never had to live with these radiators There s little that is intuitive I ve had to watch and watch and watch the many videos and then take my own notes to manage the settings I ve even managed some workarounds that make the radiators work better for us However if you have bought or are thinking of buying these radiators because you think you ll be able to adjust your heating seamlessly from an app then you re in for a rude awakening I try not to be too negative with smaller companies as I m aware of the many difficulties they can face in a competitive market That said I invested two thousand pounds in this company for wifi enabled radiators that are mostly managed manually not what I had expected at all The company is well aware or should be of my annoyance I find it staggering that these alleged feature-full appliances clearly have no method by which to update previous versions Buyer beware

I purchased two ecostrad iq ceramic
I purchased two ecostrad iq ceramic radiators but from day one of the purchase in may 2024 the Radiators started malfunction I have been unable to put any sense in to the technical guy s head The company Gohome didn t seems to care about customers right I managed to get replacement for one of the heater after it went completely faulty and displayed err2 indicating serious electrical faults Furthermore even the replacement heater is faulty but the guy seems to unable to comprehend the seriousness of the heaters catching fire Today I wrote to them again and waiting for reply I Paid 360 for each It s not worth a dime
