Questionable if Legitimate 501c3

After providing the donation I contacted six numbers One was non-working two others answered as the same NAME but were definitely not the people listed as volunteer Three others never returned calls There is NO PHONE number for ElderHelpers to speak with someone I Sent an email to which I got an automated we ll respond in 2 business days and a week has gone with no reply but daily marketing emails In theory this is a fantastic idea but my conclusion is it s either fraudulent or horrifically managed

Pretty sure this is a scam I filled out my bio and followed all directions to volunteer and subscribed 10 month to help out 6 months went by without any communication about getting matched but I was getting charged every month so I decided to cancel There is no way to cancel online I emailed to cancel and they asked me to set my profile to Unavailable first so I wouldn t get any matches That s where the problems started I wasn t able to update my profile because I kept getting an error message when trying to change my profile When I shared the error with them over email they said they bothered their developer and he said it was fine LOL Then I looked up other reviews about this place And yup other people with similar experiences

I ve loved volunteering with Elderhelpers com I was able to help someone over a few months while they were experiencing some medical issues and needed help getting to the doctors as their family lived away I think the donation helps to ensure volunteers are connecting with people who are somewhat vetted

The Volunteer I found is an Angel

When looking for someone to help my elderly Mother I found ElderHelpers org and I was very skeptical I was thrilled that such an organization existed but one has to be careful with internet transactions and since there was a fee I wanted to be extra careful After searching for other organizations that might offer a similar service and not having luck and then doing research on ElderHelpers org I found they were listed on AARP s website and that was enough for me So I joined and emailed all the volunteers and after 3 weeks one called me She is truly an Angel and the best volunteer I could ever hope for Thank you for the service you provide because in my area there are none others like yours

I found a perfect volunteer to visit my 90 year old parents and spend time with them The whole process was very easy Quick customer service response also Would definitely recommend and use them again
