Took money and all gone quiet
Placed order 21 10 15 for 1 reconditioned engine to be delivered 29 10 15 Heard nothing for 7 days Called 4 times promised call backs which did not materialise 5th call was advised that the engine that was due to be sent was faulty and they were looking to source a second Refused to refund as they had worked on the faulty engine Refused to confirm a new delivery date Currently in limbo Car sat in garage with no engine awaiting progress Have not replied to emails so far and were rude when I called after I paid were great when before - obviously Still awaiting reply Will update when if resolved

AVOID AVOID AVOID
AVOID We ordered a new engine from this company for our car only for the wrong engine to be sent We rang them and they asked us to return both engines so they can make sure they sent the right one I was not happy about this as they would have our money both engines We were told that another engine would be dispatched right away WRONG weeks went by with lie after lie being told until 4 weeks later they told us our engine was ready All they have done is re-commission my old engine which is why it took so long Not too much of a problem as it worked but we have now been told that we would not get our part exchange money back due to a part being faulty on the engine we sent back How can that be when it s in my car The wrong engine they sent us went back in perfect condition so they are just telling lies and keeping our money We have now reported them to trading standards will probably have a long fight to get our money back Please do not use this company I should of done more research online as there are many reviews just like mine

Engine Engineering stay away
absolutely awful service from start to finish Their salesman does a first rate job unfortunately once you are sucked in it is proved to be all hot air the sales rep is just a born salesman who in my view would not know the truth if it jumped up and bit him As for the Customer Service team they do not understand the word service two more aggressive and bolshie people you could not want to find in a Customer Service department Once your engine original is returned do not expect to get your deposit back I have been caught i hope you are not take my advice stay well away from these people they should all be ashamed of themselves as i am ashamed of myself for falling for their pitch

Do not risk using this company
Found them through a website under a different name National Engines They claimed to have fitting locations across the country and since they had a local location I asked about this when speaking to them as they said yes they could collect the car within 48 hours and replacement engine would take 7-10 days Was quoted a fixed fee for engine refurb fitting and car collection Week 1 - I paid upfront as they demand and after not hearing from them for 2 days I rang up again to ask about collection Another 4 days later it was collected Week 3 - After two weeks I sent an email chasing up progress no reply Another email the following day no reply I rang them up to be told gruffly It s being worked on Week 4 - Monday I rang again and was told it needed another 1k worth of parts This included parts that needed to be replaced as part of fitting but not included in their fitting cost OK this wasn t included in the flat fee they quoted but I paid as I needed the car back Rang up end of that week We re still waiting on parts Week 5 - Engine being fitted tomorrow should be done Friday It wasn t done Friday was asked to ring back next week Week 6 - Yeah Engine being fitted Thursday should be done Friday Called on Friday only to be told we still need to test it Week 7 - Waiting on road tests but it s too windy yes really Oh and at this point they inform me they actually took it 4 5 hours drive away to Glasgow not the local fitting location we talked about End of the week It s done and we ll arrange delivery back to you Week 8 - Rang chasing for a day when I would be getting it back on Monday Still haven t got a date for delivering car back from the driver Car was finally delivered back on the Wednesday On receiving the car back there s a bracket missing so the engine cover doesn t quite fit correctly and the air intake plastic tubing wasn t fitted back properly Checking Companies House the owner of the business has multiple similarly named registered companies all of which are overdue accounts and with proposals to strike the company off the register Do not risk using this company

Thanks to trustpilot removing honest
Thanks to trustpilot removing honest reviews hundreds more customers have been conned by engine engineering who are now BANKRUPT thanks trustpilotBeware of any firm which starts up doing engines at same address My old review belowRing Trading Standards in Paisley before parting with moneyReceived engine for my car had it fitted turned out to be probably an engine from a scrap car leaked oil blew oil from exhaust used oil used water what made it worse crack in head leaking carbon monoxide into cabin my children and family could have been KILLED on a long run we were advised not to drive car any further with family in which I did straight away as its impossible to get anything from Engine engineering car was disposed of for safety reasons no choice Company credit rating pretty much zero CCJ against them solicitor advised its pointless even trying to get anything back after reading reviews and more worrying police raids etc lost 5000 pounds Please read all reviews and news on websites there are plenty of excellent firms out there I was suckered in by a fancy website should have searched further first YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

DO NOT USE - DO NOT USE - DO NOT USE - DO NOT USEAs you can tell these guys need to be in prison Basically say all the right things up front and seem professional but they are scam artists I brought an engine with a surcharge attached Have never seen my surcharge back 400 Engine arrived with nothing on it just the block The warranty is pointless Engine worked at first but has now completely given up iron filings on the crankshaft sensor Have had to scrap the car 2500 down the pan May they rot in hell when they get there Am trying to sue but have just read that they have gone bust so pointless going on Like another guy said if you see anything from this address do a goggle earth check as their premises are a breakers yard basically I say again DO NOT USE

Thanks Trustpilot
I have to mention Trustpilot as previous review Trustpilot has removed genuine reviews and allowed the compant to rip off more people they are also to blame for this fiasco Please everyone who has been conned write to the scottish MPs etc lets all push for the owner and the staff involved to be jailed and assets taken to pay everyone back the sales staff knew what they were doing by defacto they are guilty as the owner so is the scottish legal system for allowing them to trade if anyone has any owner addresses please name and shame Please post full addresses of any staff we may be able to go after them for compensation or at least get them to answer for what they have done Factory has now been cleared out wonder where they will trade from nextAnybody who has names and addresses of any employees please post so we can at least try and get some money back
