Appalling customer customer service and no time allowance to amend orders even directly after placing it
Appalling customer service Placed my order and accidentally placed duplicate Informed customer service immediately Customer service were not prepared to do anything about it other than advise me to return it after I received it Please bear in mind this company now charges you to send items back So not only would they not help or amend the order they are happy to see people out of pocket too Stick to RIVERISLAND if you accidentally make duplicate orders or amendments they allow you to a time frame to change amend the order yourself on your account up until it s dispatched which makes SENSE River island obviously care about their customers as opposed to their pockets Dorothy Perkins shame on you Looking at all the other reviews it appears you care only about meeting your own needs and not your customers Lost a customer who placed a large order

I ordered as a guest
I ordered as a guest received no e-mail confirming the order when goods arrived there was no delivery note in parcel so now I want to return them I cannot start a return as I have no order number Also there is no contact number for customer service Appalling will never order from them again

Absolute trash
Received an order of multiple items and they were undoubtedly the trashiest clothes I ve ever seen Unfinished hems cheap fabrics misshapen I remembered DP as an ok brand but now I can see why their shops closed I now see also that they have been bought out by BooHoo and so that is all you need to know really Absolute trash

Wrong item delivered then replacement lost the wrong dress was had
Unfortunately the wrong item had been placed in the plastic bag which had a label for the correct item on its outside The return options did not include getting a replacement item sent out and returns cost 1 99 As there were no phone numbers to call customer service I had to use the text option and replies to texts took literally hours so the return process extended over 5 days They were helpful in ensuring I wasn t charged the 1 99 return fee and for arranging a replacement However I never received any tracking information for the replacement as I was told to expect and in following up it transpired only part of my address had been used in sending a replacement I was subsequently advised they couldn t arrange another replacement and that I was being refunded All very time consuming and very frustrating

Beware if you re disabled
Ordered some items for an event that turned up too late Requested to return them and told I have to take them to a drop off point I have explained that I have a physical and mental disability that means I can not do this and they will not help Their site still says you can print a label but they say I can t I have always printed a label and Royal Mail has collected Their alternative is for me to ask a random to drop it off for me Surely this goes against the disability discrimination act Will have to pay my own return as I can t go to a shop and will never use this terrible excuse for a company again

Returned items over 2 weeks ago I sent an email requesting a refund Darryl replied saying to get in touch by a certain date and he would refund the amount owed I have sent 2 further emails and still no refund I am going to contact my bank to recover my money Disgraceful

Terrible customer services updates
I ordered a pair of boots earlier in the week and received order number which at first worked great now 2 days later it says order number not recognised I have emailed customer services twice now with no reply to see if my order has been cancelled delayed or is indeed still arriving at some point Absolutely terrible that nobody gets back to me with any updates as to why not working I would like an update and rest assured I will not be using you online or in store again I have checked bank and no refund received if order has been cancelled Please can you respond to me

Awful returns - Never again
I am only giving this 1star as I can not give 0 stars I ordered a large number of items from Dorothy Perkins Items were delivered along with a dress which came from another merchant When it came to return the items I packaged them up and returned them all together as this was a stated option on the returns paperwork I am still waiting on a refund for the item as Dorothy Perkins are unable to work out what has happened I have spoken to about 10 different people having to explain the situation each time as there is no follow up - I m just getting passed around from person to person and no one seems to know what is going on Surely when the parcel was scanned back into their returns department someone ought to have contacted me if this was an issue but nothing What a sad state of affairs from what used to be an excellent company 7 weeks on who knows what they are up to And 1 99 for the privilege of returning items I haven t been refunded for Ridiculous

I sent a dress back via the post office on the 17th June 2024 After numerous messages to customer services I am still waiting for a refund or even an acknowledgement that it is being dealt with Does anybody work in customer services

Can t send returns or get refunds
Wow I thought dodorthy Perkins and Debenhams were a trusted brand Now they are just scammers so many hidden costs lots of items arriving damaged talk to customer services get promised a refund then don t receive it And if you want to return an item be prepared to have to take a day off work to talk to 10 different customer service reps that get you know here and say you aren t logging in correctly So now I have 300 of wasted items I did a huge order as I ve changed size Won t be using them again certainly won t be recommending them I will actually be warning everyone I know This is not the company it used to be
