Great Expectations Terrible Results

I was SO looking forward to working with Everfast Fiber Consolidated Communications The price was right and I really enjoyed talking with Jerry when setting up the installation appointment Within one week of install our internet speed was extremely slow so I called Jerry She said to email her and give specifics of the problem and she would forward to the service Dept I didn t get that email sent for 5 days due to a busy weekend but I sent it on 10 20 23 and by 10 26 I d heard nothing so I sent the email again The next day I received a follow up email where Jerry said to call service I called 2x and was disconnected I called again the following Tuesday 10 31 I was told that our 1G speed was not guaranteed for Wi-Fi If I wanted that speed I needed to hardwire my connection Disappointing So I sent another email to Jerry 11 2 to cancel our service effective 11 10 I needed to get another internet provider lined up before cancelling I hadn t heard back from her so I sent another email to her today 11 8 and now my internet is NOT WORKING AT ALL I work from home so this is not acceptable On top of all of that my first month was supposed to be free On the 10 20 email I reminded Jerry that we were to receive our first month s service free but 11 6 I received a past due invoice with no credit applied I m very disappointed For background I am slow to leave a service I must be extremely unhappy before making the decision to switch ANY service I am a responsible patron and I strive to be courteous in all my communications and give the benefit of the doubt The lack of communication and follow through on all of this has been the most frustrating part

What didn t go wrong is the question

What didn t go wrong is the question I met a nice group of people at an event being held at our pool I was promised 3 months of free service and then 50 a month for 1 gig fiber It started out fine but when they went to bury my line they left about a 3 foot trench of the wire exposed and my dog chewed on it I called to have someone come out and now it has been about a month and the wire is still draped over my fence On top of that I received a bill the first month instead of not being charged I called in and after about 20 minutes on the phone I was told that they reversed the charges It s about 3 weeks later now and I just received a notice of disconnection because I didn t pay the invoice I wasn t supposed to be sent in the first place You guys need to get your act together

Absolutely frustrating

Absolutely frustrating They eliminated all access for digital platforms remotely i have registered signed up contacted customer service technicians and each time a different story Now they are saying services not available until after the 15th That is 20 days of them charging me for a service I have not received Their follow communication is horrible

Called to Cancel Service

Called to Cancel Service Not because they were bad or anything but it just doesn t work the way i need it to just reality Unknown to me calling customer service is a waste of time THEY WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO CANCEL unless you speak to their retention dept YES SHE ACTUALLY SAID RETENTION DEPT in other words you can t leave until we say you can leave put on hold and nobody was available so was told THEY WILL GIVE ME A CALL for real Don t meal i ll call you yeah RIGHT I need to speak to a managerPat lovely Pat said their is nothing he can do not to me but to his agent Would NOT SPEAK TO ME that s a LEADER of all LEADERS someone you can look upto as an agent A person in charge of customer service whom WON T SPEAK TO A CUSTOMER Told the agent a was recording this call a few times just so i can CONFIRM she did not object therefore the recording is LEGAL Went over EVERYTHING one last time and cannot cancel my service This started off pleasant the call and then went to hell and a handbasket UNREAL This should be interesting as PAT should feel the wrath of this Hiding from customers when wanting to speak to a manager That s a Great Corporate Motto

almost every weekend service is not

almost every weekend service is not available here at John Knox the number called usually leads to a secondary part time person who tries to reboot the cable box remotely usually unsuccessfully who then creates a ticket to be assigned to a technical group who at their discretion calls back or comes by to check the cable box usually just explaining they are converting from consolidated communications and it is taking time so far I have spent two hours trying to get service the other times calling John Knox just refers calls to the Marketing department open on the next business day So far this is about the 7th or 8th time I have had this issue Guess I will miss the Chiefs game today

Terrible company

You promised the first 3 months would be free But it s not My wife has talked to your phone bank several times trying to get to someone who can get this straightened out No success And this afternoon s mail brought a disconnect notice Don t believe anything any rep from this company says

Do Not Do Business With EverFast

If I could give EverFast zero or even negative stars I would and they would be well deserved We have been customers through the various evolutions of the company Everest- Surewest- Consolidated Communications and very happy with service support and pricing In February Everfast took over and to say it has been and is a nightmare would be a gross understatement We have lost some of the on-demand services we regularly used through Apple TV e g History Channel Food Network etc Multiple phone calls to both customer service and tech support have resulted in a myriad of excuses and worthless fixes Worse yet the least amount of time spent in queue for Customer Service was 52 minutes The longest was an hour and a half Technical support has an appallingly low level of technical knowledge of how their own network operates and none knew what AppleTV or Roku devices are We are in the process of moving to a new provider I would strongly recommend avoiding EverFast and the attendant incompetence and frustration Believe me there are a number of better options

After canceling service and moving to

After canceling service and moving to another apartment complex and always paying my bill on time they have not refunded what they show as a credit to my account I terminated service in March and here we are in August and still no refund Time to get a TV station investigation going

REQUEST FOR A NEW REMOTE

Oct 26 2023 remote stopped working Numerous calls to call center had conflicting remedies I wrote a review weeks ago and it has not shown up Did Everfast delete it after days of follow up calls New remote arrived Nov 9 2023 from Lenexa after 14 days Not one person out of 4 knew where remote would be shipped from We have been customers since 2002 that s 21 years since Everest came to town Dwane W Overland Park
