I STRONGLY ADVISE ANYONE CONSIDERING
I STRONGLY ADVISE ANYONE CONSIDERING THE CARE OF THIS COMPANY WITH EMPHASIS ON SURREY EAST TO REFRAIN FROM USING THEM Awful Service from JAMES SHANKAR who runs Extra Help for the Surrey East Area At the preliminary interview after agreeing the area in which my Father lives was in their catchment and to have the 1 hour meeting he turned up very late some 30 minutes with not even the courtesy of a call to state that he was running late He rushed my 80 year old Father who is not nimble on his feet around his home then proceeded to tell my Father he had to leave as he was late for his next appointment let a sheet of paper with the person who maybe attending as the carer which by the way he should have spent that time going through the details of the carer with both myself and my Father Worse of all he then told me when I telephoned him to ask why he did not wait for me as agreed stated that my Father s address is out of his area even though I gave him the address on the telephone in my telephone call with him and he advised it was in his catchment area and proceeded to make the arrangements to visit James Shankar was rude and obnoxious thank Goodness that this appointment was only in the preliminary stages because of James Shankar s attitude who knows what quality of care or NOT as the case may be would be received by this company If James Shankar THE MANAGER has such poor standards and treated my Father in the way he did in his home more than likely if there was an issue with the carer and he is the one responsible for vetting the carers it would no doubt be of a poor standard because of his lack of care and all round tardiness in his attitude and rudeness beyond imagination who also lacked any form of humility towards my Father plus when I spoke to him on the telephone after the initial visit I would not trust him to deal with it responsibly or professionally We seek help from these type of companies because we care about our elderly parents and want to give them as much care in their everyday lives as well as compassion and understand their needs but this person JAMES SHANKAR I would even go so far as to say his behaviour was absolutely shocking and the treatment of my Father deplorable I REITERATE PLEASE THINK LONG AND HARD BEFORE USING THIS COMPANY ESPECIALLY JAMES SHANKAR IF HE COMES UNDER YOUR AREA EVEN THOUGH JAMES SHANKAR DOES NOT KNOW WHAT AREA HE COVERS HIMSELF I have reported this company to the ombudsmen for these institutes as well as the Local Borough Council so that no one else will have to go through and suffer the humiliation of Extra Help and JAMES SHAKAR that my Father and I received As a further note I added the above to their Facebook page but the owner of Extra Help removed it as she told me she wanted to look into it further I agreed to that she never did get back to me so the entire company lack any due care She cannot remove this review and I will add it everywhere I can to let people out there know and to take heade if they are considering using this company Or if you already do I suggest you add video cameras to your homes to protect your elderly family Also JAMES SHANKAR is the only one of the Managers that does not come from a caring professional background as far as I am concerned this speaks volumes as to his conduct and professionalism for this industry

In response to ExtraHelp Again this is a warning to anyone considering using the company The owner has responded with an absolute lie I had reached out several times to the office to complain about how my Father was treated and was told that no one but the abuser was in charge that I could report the matter to therefore I took thae stance I did

Home clean
Organised for a one off home deep clean through this company Firstly after organising a date well in advance the company message me the night before having to cancel without giving me any real solid reason as to why this was I had to change my work pattern to accommodate which caused me difficulties But the flat needed to be cleaned so agreed to a date a few days later I was told a 2 hour clean should be enough time for a relatively small flat like mine I decided to ask for a 3 hour clean to be safe and asked the clean be extended to the windows and fridge On my return to my flat 3 hours later I was absolutely appalled to see that the flat had barely been cleaned The TV it s stand not even touched The large lamp not even touched None of the radiators light switches had been touched The front of the oven still had stains on the glass fronting The work top had not been wiped down properly either I moved certain objects such as the microwave toaster etc there was muck all around it as the cleaner hadn t even bothered to move worktop items to wipe underneath around them The bathrooms didn t seem to have been touched No bleach used in the toilets you could still see a tissue in the bottom of the bowl The bathroom shower had not been touched there was still muck covering the taps and soap holder I don t actually think the cleaner went into my en-suite bathroom There was stains around the shower sink hole None of the shower separator had been touched not even a wipe down I was truely shocked that I had paid for an extra hour over recommended when there appeared to be rooms that hadn t even been entered I took around 40 pictures of the uncleaned flat and sent it immediately to the company They replied agreeing it was not a sufficient clean and that a complete re clean needed to be done I asked that this was done early the following week as it was problematic for my work schedule I m a key worker they said they would try before eventually coming back and stating they could only do the end of the following week Reluctantly I agreed to this I then receive a text message a couple of days before they are due to come cancelling yet again saying they would have to put it off for the following week By this point enough was enough I cancelled and asked for a full refund of my money I am a 30 year old guy who hardly has high expectations when it comes to the cleanliness of my flat but this whole service has been truely awful Save yourself the time and money and do not use this company There are much better services out there

awful customer service
the initial experience was good and professional and my cleaner was reliable and even though there was room for improvement she was good her main issue was that she was very rough and quite brut I received complaints from my family the days I was at the office about the way the cleaner was handling their stuff she always seemed to be beating up the Dyson my husband was always saying she is going to break it but I didn t wanted to say anything and she did ended up breaking my Dyson when I reported this Rose Ogborn from the Bath office basically calls me a liar saying that my Dyson is older than I am saying it is I can proof it is not is registered saying it was faulty or that still useable even though I have said it is not I wonder how on earth can she possibly know That without seeing it Anything to avoid taken responsibility and claim to the insurance I will report this to the trading standards office if I need to and make a small claim but I just won t let it go out off principle

Milton Keynes - very poor experience would not recommend ever
The cleaner we had in Milton Keynes did a superficial clean Didn t touch any grout or even Hoover under tables or desks Even after feedback was given I would not recommend this service It s really badly managed - Uber for cleaners

1st visit OK then I broke my arm so
1st visit OK then I broke my arm so needed more help to get food and unscrew jars etc to eat and stay alive Am 80 years old disabled with lung disease and mobility issues alone and no family or neighbours Can t do anything with one hand and thinking than God I ve got someone to help Next visit day I got an email from the franchise owner saying I will no longer get help I mailed back asking why but have had no response North Devon area Run by a Charlie Hawkes It s just about making money no care at all I have made an official complaint to the original uk owner But I may not may not live much longer 02 07 2023

This response to my complaint was amazing Charlie Hawkes did not offer anything at all He lied when he said he would email his worker re time of visit and shopping That has caused great trauma No way did he offer anything else His worker blasted in demand money and refused to help me with a sling I have broken my arm or help change the shirt I had been living and sleeping in for a long time She was abrupt and scary I never had a reply from Charlie explaining T the last time we spoke was about his birth details as I am a retired astrologer Why do people lie

Unprofessional service
One of the top people took forever to come back to me and then when she came over we explained how bad a service we have received from another company She went away and sent me a message saying will look for someone as they couldn t start until 16th November and then never bothered to come back to me Disgraceful and very unprofessional
