Useless in the uk Cant seem to find anyone despite entering full names and dates etc

Don t use them if you want other family members to steal your profile and they do nothing about it

My sister has caused a lot of trouble in our family She has stollen money from my elderly parents She made a mockery of my mothers funeral and she was begging for money at the funeral She locked my mother between two doors and drove away when she had Alzheimer s and my mother cried for 30 minutes before my father knew she was there to let her in yet when I make a profile from my mother who just passed away in January and I request a photo of her grave because I live in Florida Find a grave let s her take it over put her name on it a knock me off My sister has not taken my father to see her grave yet and she still hasn t taken him Three months later so by me getting this photo I was excited and happy to share the photo with my dad He was so happy to see it since she wouldn t take him like she didn t take him to see my mother in the nursing home for one month and then she passed Out of spite she went on the Find a grave site and took over everything Find a grave says they can t do anything about it that she can do that So other family members can take over another family members profile Well I don t think it s right and I don t think find a grave has the right to make that decision to do that I wrote everything on there and I put the photos on there that were deleted by my sister and I requested the picture Find a grave is disrespectful to family members who are grieving My brothers and my dad are grieving My sister who is being spiteful only because I showed the photo to him before she could take him which she still hasn t done I just can t understand how you can allow this uncaring person to take over my mother s memorial when in fact I am the closest daughter to my mother When you say talk to that family member well not everybody has a relationship with their siblings I will not be using them again I told them to take down my words and if that is not done I will be writing another bad review

Ancestry and Find-A-Grave Desecrate My Ancestors

I have been researching my family 7 generations farmers who began their American journey in Philadelphia in 1755 and eventually ended in Chicago in 1916 Looking for a relative in Kentucky I came across his grave in Lexington When looking to cross-reference it with the Ancestry-owned Find-A-Grave I discovered a listing for this relative This listing had been defaced with an added memorial from a non-family member which included a Confederate Battle Flag and the statement that he was a Kentucky and Southern Hero and a patriot Confederate soldiers and leaders are and were TRAITORS NOT HEROS TRAITORS Ancestry has been ignoring the issue which I understand is fairly widespread

This site is so bad - they let anybody take pictures post info and manage any bodyGrave kin or not Someone name Bill Mabel took a picture of my husband grave and got the date yearWrong even tho they could see the markerCould I change it No because a strangers manage it I never gave them or find a grave permission to take a photo or publish Anything I am his wife married to him for 27 years and buried him but I cannot changed anything And these experts Bill Mabel got my brother in law grave info wrong alsoHe was born in South Carolina but lived inGeorgia he died Georgia the family brought his body here to be buried But bill Mabel strangers know more than me I have His obituary Some nut post a picture of my mom grave and said aunt Mary Well my mother namedwas Emma never ever used Mary Could I change it NoIt sad that many people get things so wrongBut a family can not change anything

Requested a memorial transfer for great-grandfathers brother - the memorial maker has the wrong information - tired to get him to change the info and he would not - he is not related to my great-grandfathers brother or any of the 85 K that he manages - he will not transfer to me - support at find a grave said no too - I am ticked - 24 yrs a member of Ancestry and almost 16 yrs on Find a Grave -

So I am back I said I would be if my words on my moms memorial on find a grave were not taken down Which I am sure is still there Can t get in to see The site is very confusing and not easy to navigate They allowed my sister who most of our family does not talk to to take over my mothers profile that I set up Stealing my words my photos etc I told find a grave if it was not taken down I would be writing this review again I would never recommend them to anyone They steal copyrighted material and pass it to just about anyone and then kicks you off the site and makes it so you can t get back on No Star for them Playing on grieving families

Find A Grave Administrators Collaberation against Users

Katrina senior manager contacted me and said she would help me have my family transferred to me I just keep getting asked about my parents siblings aunts and uncles WHY they have nothing to do with it I sent them a copy of my family tree to them 3 times Alex Mikinna Amber Caleb and SMSmith SMS or SMS53 have been horrible to me I re-reported them back to the BBB What more can I do

Families should be able to opt out of FindAGrave s data base just the way they do with any other unwanted unasked for annoyance Not all of us share the enthusiasm 4 the sport as do FindAGrave s top nut case contributors

zero safety and security protocols

I wouldn t even know about this site if not for the stalking and harassment I have received from it since my mother passed away findagrave has ZERO safety protocols on their site Their rules about removing profiles require deceased people to be alive only parents siblings and children all of whom are dead You can t show proof of next of kin to manage your own family s profiles You can t even block people The site is wonky and their rules are literally impossible It is a gross violation of my safety and security that they will allow some random person to manage a profile for my family I m all that is left of my family I m the only one who matters in this case I m the one being stalked and harassed by members of findagrave
