I m very disappointed and dissatisfied

I m very disappointed and dissatisfied The site basically scammed me They won t even message me back or give me a refund

poor website functionality and horrible support

I am not sure which one is worse the non-existent customer service or lack of functionality of the website It happened several times that it was simply impossible to login into the account And if you happen to login by chance the website does not work This means you cannot look for the offers access messages or even worst unsubscribe from the premium account so you keep paying the fees without being able to stop it It is also quite hard to get access to the support service they are often offline and don t reply to communications

I just got a refund of 349 today being 30th of March 2023 I demand they refund me also from the month of July 2022-Febuary 2023

I just had a very bad experience with this findroommate I bought a subscription and unsubscribed later That was over a year ago Everything was ok no deduction of money Surprisingly today i just saw a deduction of almost 350dkk This is pure scam No telephone number to reach this findroomate Please stay away of this guys

I didn t read the fine print where it says that on the third day the subscription is premium and I unsubscribed on the third day when I saw the charge on my credit card and it is dishonest of Findroomate to take advantage of that situation because I have not taken advantage of being premium at any time I thought that being a Danish website it would be reliable but I was wrong DONT make the same mistake than me I MADE A CLAIM AND THEY REFUNDED MY MONEY

Be carefull My daughter got scammed

My daughter a student was cheated on There is no flat Rent and deposit are gone It can be assumed that the offers are not checked The attitude of Kristan findrommate Ultimately however it is crucial that each individual takes their own precautions to ensure that they do not fall victim to a scam Advice Check out the flat Good luck

Rude customer service and rogue policies

They deducted my monthly fee of 349kr again after I paid for 2 days of use When I contacted the customer service the reply email even verbally attacked me They wrote back to me in the original email Da du tilmeldte dig accepterede du vores betingelser hvor dette st r beskrevet Det st r ogs beskrevet p selve k bssiden s det er naturligvis rgerligt hvis du ikke har l st det da du tilmeldte dig Premium This is an unacceptable attitude and shows the poor quality of their customer service or just one of them As for the customer service response I quoted above I can put my hand on the Bible and swear that I did not change it did not make it up just copied the original Fortunately I managed to prevent several people I knew from signing up and using the site thus helping them each avoid the trap of hundreds of kronor I hope that more people can see it on this platform so as to avoid encountering similar experiences as me

Fewer than expected lettings on offer in Copenhagen

Imagine you run a website in a marketplace with many more renters than landlords and you want to attact renters to pay for services And that there is no watchdog to verify whether the listings you place are real or false What would you do The best game theoretic response is to brand the website and create a lot of false ads to attact renters The problem with doing this is that it requires a lot of creativity If you become lazy ads start to look the same I do not have the proof to say that Findroommate dk does this so I will not accuse them of doing it But I will tell you about my experience and you can make your own mind up 1 Are there many more renters than landlords Yes Evidence A digital conversation I had with the support team states landlords receive extremely many messages even as much as 100s 2 Do ads look the same Yes Evidence Two ads by different people used the same images which had even been used before vaerelser 160244 and vaerelser 157631 Two ads used the same profile image with two different landlord names I reported this to the support team 3 Are the people being messaged real No probably Possible evidence I sent out many messages of which a negligible proportion received responses Even messages where I offered 20 more rent were still ignored or I was told the place had already been rented So if this is my experience why not 1 star Well for genuine landlords looking for serious renters this website will pair them up but the general feeling I had is that I rather wasted my time trying to find a needle in haystack before ultimately looking elsewhere

In general a waste of time and money I would say Everyone who tried knows that in Copenhagen it is extremely difficult and time consuming to find accommodation I ve looked for housing across Belgium and Germany before and now Denmark Copenhagen The fact that this was also the first time for me that I paid for an accommodation website says it all I looked around on findroommate dk for a month did not find a place did not even get a reply to my request in most cases Some of the reasons for that are most likely the demand versus availability ratio which is about 10 to 1 Secondly a lot of people are preferably looking for female flatmates some also specifically state this in their advertisement Thirdly I assume it must be way easier to find a place when you speak Danish which I do not - yet Last there were quite some advertisements on there that were older than a month most likely already rented out where I never got a reply from so that even increases the demand versus availability ratio 15-20 to 1 The website does have a nice interface though and is easy to work with but honestly way too expensive and since I did not find a place it was a waste of time and money I found something elsewhere and I don t think I d use the service again in the future - at least not before they drop prices greatly lower the demand availability ratio and clean out the old advertisements

okay but could be a lot better

It s a legit company but only an okay user experience PRO - I did actually find a new room through findroommate dk - Nice map feature for finding housing in preferred spot CONS - In the entire 2 months I used the system I did not correctly display my gender the system does not save show it correctly Contacted support and they were aware of the problem but 2 months later problem persists - Maybe related to the previous point one gets a lot of new roommatches which are then only available for girls Reversed gender discrimination is one thing being constantly reminded about it is even worse - The system for shared housing refers to third parties which is fair enough as long as those references get removed if no longer available Before writing this review I followed up on some properties and they were still listed on the site for over a month after no longer being available findrroommate dk seems to intentionally not cleaning up old properties to make it look like it has more to offer than it has - The number of semi-automatic messages circulating in the system is astonishing - kind of expensive I expect the above points to be corrected for the money I paid
