TOTAL RIP OFF BY FLY SAFAIR
I believe they are guilty of blatant price gouging Fares have risen astronomically since the demise of Mango Kulula and Comair They tell you you are entitled to one free change but my free change ended up costing me close on R2 000 for a flight between Johannesburg and Durban

Stubborn refusals to drop penalty when system error
Yes Flysafair on time and they sometimes offer huge specials almost for free but behind the scenes they act without any regard whatsoever 22 September the site kept asking for a return journey eventually getting me to mistakenly make an evening booking Cape Town to Durban and they refuse to drop the R300 ticket penalty in spite of Ombudsman intervention and me flying each year and on pension No sympathy whatsoever 6 days for them to respond to Ombudsman 15 days given Have to complain within 24 hours they say Wasn t sure my next step in spite of my doing queries knowing the fee is super strictly replied in all cases

Follow up on previous review If you book with Flysafair and have an emergency to cancel even a death on the family Flysafair will stick to their regulations no deviation and no refunds and you will have to fly within 12 months minus your R300 admin fee Reason I say is that even after contacting the Ombudsman they never responded A law unto themselves But Karma still around I don t have to react its the law of nature This in spite of me being a pensioner with a yearly visit from CT to Durban after once again after changing a cruise from Durban to CT refused a refund Change made by MSc not me Be warned Very short sighted For the sake of measly R300 admin fee to be dropped they lost a customer forever

Follow up on last review Flysafair wanted proof of system glitch Computers are noughts and ones if you know anything about computers Worked for City of Cape Town for 35 years in IT Anyone heard of intermittent problems Customer they say not enough proof Had to pay the R300 fee penalty and R213 to change evening to morning flight I am a Christian and I don t lie So leave as is It s done and dusted Despite Ombudsman involvement They only negotiate They ignored for 15 plus days past the day limit Flysafair didn t negotiate So you know what they are about Honesty and customer service In my view quite lowly rated Try Comair Believe it s a better choice Just because 60 dominated by FlysafAir Have you seen how squashed the seating is If you are clostraphobic it could be an issue Know some people with the possible still risk of Covid buy 2 seats next to each other for comfort and pleasure

Had a terrible experience with this airline from an international flight in everything ran smoothly with different airlines Once I touched down to Johannesburg it was an awful experience and was made to pay an extra R1000 for a flight I had already paid for Avoiding this airline as much as I can Terrible customer service and awful start to my holiday Shameful

Disgraceful airline
Disgraceful airline rude staff and awful pilots Our flight apparently could not land due to heavy winds even though all other planes landed no problem - got diverted with no explanation as to what was going on and no options Ended up forking out 1300ZAR on a taxi and do they want to know Course they dont DO NOT USE

Most disgraceful unfriendly rude staff Your flight controllers don t know what they doing And they are racist especially when you are either White Colored or Indian Treatment of so called Black passengers are much better Took my daughter to the airport this morning Her flight was at 5h55 on F200 At 5 Am we are in the queue when Thabang casually walks around and says in a hushed tone closing Cape Town Flight No flight number or anything We get to the counter at 5h05 and the check in clerk sends us to Thabang and his colleague who is apparently the flight controller She says hurry because they just closed the flight He makes us wait in another queue until 5h15 then just says it s closed Go pay to go on standby Coming back from paying the R300 it was another queue He close another flight while I m waiting there After almost 15 minutes a Blach family arrives to get their boarding passes for the flight that closed more than 10 minutes before He greets them in his language and he issues their boarding passes When I asked why they are treated differently he tells me although he closed the flight he s still taking passengers I must not ask him why But very irritated and rude Now my question is how come he couldn t give us a boarding pass after waiting in the queue when he closed the flight and we got to him around 5h10 2 minutes after he closed the flight This smacks of reversed racism in the highest form So if you are White Colored or Indian then stay away from Flysafair It not worth the frustration They must employ knowledgeable people who are customer orientated and not racist vengeful people like Thabang at OR Thambo International

Cheap international flights to Harare
Cheap international flights to Harare stay away from them Worst and Terrible service that we got at OR Tambo after they left 7 people behind Gates were closed when we were in a long queue the staff were very rude and unhelpful 7 people with 14 ears couldnt hear the last call really instead they delayed us up and down for an hour until the flight departure and made us rebook again

Bad experience
Flysafair prides itself on being a punctual airline While this was true for us as passengers the same cannot be said for one of our pieces of luggage which arrived more than 36 hours after us without any compensation even though this was detrimental to us our luggage contained children s clothes and equipment To avoid if possible

Horrible experience with Happiness
Horrible experience with Happiness Cele Patient and passenger was admitted in hospital in JHB and discharged on 26th July Declared unfit for travel by doctor in a letter and to be readmitted on 29th July for further tests Got letter by doctor and hospital confirming the admission however FlySafair agent Happiness Cele is still not giving a 100 refund even though their policy is 100 refund in the case of admission Is the passenger expected to fly to dbn on the 28th and come back to JHB on 29th for admission again It s sheer incompetence Clearly the patient needs to be admitted again a day later so I cannot understand how they can lack compassion for a patient in this condition and further add to her troubles
