Logic Pro Problem Fixed

In Logic Pro on a new Mac you have to switch Mic Mode to Standard not Voice Isolation to make Scarlett Gen 4 to work It s the little orange circle with a mic in it in the middle of the top menu bar Once I did that I loved my new Scarlett Solo

Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 4th Gen

I got Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 audio interface a few months ago So far I ve only really used it to hear my guitar through a DAW and apply effects through the DAW and for that it works great there s no delay that I can notice Seeing as the audio interface functions as an audio card for my PC however I ended up running all my audio through it except for my microphone which is USB so I can t plug it into the audio interface and I don t really have any complaints It sounds good it works well it came with a lot of software goodies for DAWs as well including Ableton Live Lite version and 20 discount to upgrade to one of the other versions so going over all the free stuff served as a tutorial of sorts on all of that stuff I didn t have any previous experience with I only really have two complaints the first one being that sometimes seemingly randomly the audio I m getting starts cracking and I have to unplug the audio interface from my PC and plug it back in but I m not entirely sure that happens because of the audio interface I read up a bit on it online and changed my buffer size from 256 to 512 a couple of weeks or so ago and so far the issue hasn t happened again which is why I m not reducing my rating of the product The second complaint would be that the software that comes with the interface doesn t seem to communicate well with each other There is what looks like a control panel for Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 4th Gen and also something called Focusrite Control 2 and the issue I have is that when I try to open Focusrite Control 2 from the control panel it says that Focusrite Control 2 is not installed on my system and suggests I go and download the latest version but if I search for Focusrite Control 2 from my windows search and open it that way it s there installed and it works That s a minor thing so I m leaving the rating at 5 stars Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 does what I wanted it to do it came with a bunch of free stuff and it works with more specialized hardware like my Beyerdynamics headphones which I can t plug in my PC but I can plug in the Scarlett 2i2 audio interface so that s good in my book
