Really exceptional service

10 days ago a train my young grandson was travelling on came to a sudden halt and a heavy bag from a high rack fell onto his Alcatel tablet smashing it to bits He d had it for just over a month and it was a gift from his parents ready for the start of his new primary school 4 days ago We offered to buy a replacement but I found it really hard to source quickly eventually settling for a company which promised 7-10 days delivery - I did ask if could be any sooner but there was no response One week later yesterday they emailed to say there would be an extended delay which meant nothing I went back online and eventually found Fonez4all had it in stock but at a slightly higher price and the 16GB version where I wanted the 32GB so I opened a chat to ask if they had that too It was answered by Aadil who immediately understood the situation and was concerned to do all he could to help my grandson get his tablet for school He said they didn t have the 32GB version in stock but would be happy to include a free 32GB memory card if I ordered the 16GB He also more than matched the price of the other company and said he d do all he could to despatch it the same day Rather bowled over by this I put in my order and hoped for the best and received emails later last night to say it had been despatched and giving me the tracking reference Before 10 o clock this morning I received it on a Royal Mail Special Delivery by 1pm service The postage label said this cost them 7 99 and I had paid 2 99 on the flat rate There was a free 32GB micro SD card included as promised Also this morning I had a text from Aadil saying he hoped my grandson enjoys it What can I say - except how grateful I am that this mattered enough to Aadil that he pulled out all the stops and that I m very grateful indeed for everything he did I don t think I ve ever had better service anywhere
