Absolute joke of a company
Absolute joke of a company have been waiting since October last year for engineer to attend appointment after 3 cancellations by them another appointment booked for 28th Feb they have phoned today to say engineer can t make the appointment how the hell do they know this 5 weeks in advance absolutely useless company

If I could give no stars
If I could give no stars I would This has to be the worst company I have ever dealt with They have repeatedly not shown up to booked appointments to install smart meters 5 occasions and on 4 of those occasions have not even bothered to notify me Once the appointment period is up I call them and am given any number of excuses for why the engineer hasn t shown up When the engineer finally did turn up to fit my Smart Meters 4th time lucky my boiler wouldn t work when he turned the power back on Instead of trying to fix it he got all flustered read the manual and called his boss who clearly told him to leg it because that is what he did - at 6pm on a Friday He also failed to leave me the In Home Device in his haste to get out my front door Hoping this was the last time I would have to deal with them I called British Gas who kindly came and fixed my boiler Regrettably though the gas meter could not connect to my energy supplier not even with a central reboot so I had to wait for another engineer to come out two no shows later I was lucky on the 3rd attempt this time Or not so lucky as the case may be as the engineer thought he was just here to deliver the in home device not connect the gas meter to my energy supplier which he said would be done through a central reboot Having explained this hadn t worked and hence the need for an engineer to visit he clearly did not know how to get the meter to connect and said he was just here to deliver the IHD Honestly that could have been sent by Royal Mail I cannot fathom how this company is not yet insolvent I wouldn t touch them with a barge pole and if you are an energy supplier definitely don t use them to instal your customers smart meters This has to be my worst experience with any company ever the only positive is their customer services answer the phone quite quickly the fact that they then can t help and generally lie to you though offsets this one positive

Unreliable Very Poor Customer Service
Fulcrum were engaged by my gas and electricity suppliers to install a smart meter We booked an appointment which they confirmed by text two days before the scheduled day So far so good So I cancelled all my work for that day cleared out the area where the old meters were situated to make it easier for their engineer and I arranged to be at home for that day The 8am to 12pm slot went by with no engineer arriving and no notification from Fulcrum as to why so I called them I was told that their engineer was working on other jobs in my area and would come to my house next after calling me to say that they were on their way So I waited and waited Eventually they called me again saying that their engineer was off sick They couldn t reschedule the appointment until that specific engineer reported back to work So they lied in the first phone call wasted my time inconvenienced me and cost me money as I could have been working So here I am months after the appointment was booked with no clue as to if or when this smart meter is ever going to be installed Shockingly poor customer service I know I m not their customer my gas electricity supplier is So I was happy to receive my supplier s email today telling me that they had changed their subcontractor to a different company

if you employees represent the company they work for then you are in deep pooptoday in whitstable at 14 44 i witnessed you van driver and i suppose worker on a van belonging to you with reg number BD70TUU pulling up at roundabout aggressively and go straight from right hand side which would be ok if he slow down and waited to join the left hand lane as the road mark suggested but instead your driver floored it and gave us all something to admire stayed on the right drove over the road signs to over take the car he was trying to over take before at the roundabout and con content once he over took the car stepped out verbally abusing the driver and passenger and imposed he was in the right to do so the driver was shocked btw i sent you the footage to you and police

RIP OFF MERCHANTS
Do not use fulcrum at all their just out to get your money They ll give you a good quote to entice you and as soon as you sign the dotted line for consent and receive money upfront for the job they ll double the quote under traffic management excuses and demand more money for what was a straight for job as I was told by one off there team members who in his own words has done many straight forward jobs like this but couldnt see the obstacles before hand even thought I provided plans of property and surrounding road layout Then the process of getting your money back you ll get blood out of stone quicker and then they ll charge you for the privilege for using them well no thank you fulcrum Read the t c before hand 2k cancellation fee for what was their fault and they say we re here to help stay well away Its been emotional quiet literally but thanks for wasting 2 months for nothing and good riddance

How difficult can it be to supply an in home display unit for a smart meter For Fulcrum it s impossible I had my smart meter installed in August and was told the display units were out of stock and to call in a couple of weeks I called throughout the summer and eventually in October I was told there were some in stock and an appointment was made to bring one to me That appointment was not honoured I called again to be told there was no record of either my appointment or my calls I have the call logs on my mobile though I was then told that a unit would be posted to me but unsurprisingly nothing has materialised

Feeling ignored
My experience with Fulcrum started last year when I was new to gas connections I was told Fulcrum were market leaders in the gas industry I m baffled as to how when they seem totally unconcerned with their own customers or work Whenever I had quote requests questions or concerns I was ignored until I escalated the problem and even then it was hard to get answers Revalidating quotes changing details or amending routes seemed to be a mammoth task that could take weeks if not months to complete The only time they seemed keen to get in contact was when they wanted more money Some good prices but completely negated by their lack of customer service

Incredibly poor service
Incredibly poor service We had a scheduled appointment between 1pm-5pm to exchange both meters My husband booked time off to be there He kept waiting it was after 4pm when I rang to Fulcrum to find out where the engineer was I have been told that he arrived and no one was there Ridiculous you don t schedule the appointments to simply not answer the door Not interested in any meter exchange anymore as I am not going to waste my time

Not smart with smart meters
Fulcrum are sub contracted by ecotricity to provide smartmeters in our area west Midlands The guy turned up to change the gas and electricity meters but didn t have the smart hub as they had run out Needless to say I asked the guy to leave as he wouldn t have been able to complete the job I had booked I followed up by email bit have had no response for 3 weeks

Fulcrum did a job for my neighbors After Fulcrum had finished the job they dumped the business waste in bags labeled hazardous waste i e fittings goggles empty boxes batteries saw blades etc in one of our community domestic wheely bins Then when the neighbor complained they denied the waste was theirs Luckily when sorting the waste out for disposal I found paperwork with their name on It was then only under the threat of legal action did they consent to pick it up Cowboys avoid at all costs
