Tricky to choose solar panel installer
After talking to many solar installers I settled on Future Proof Solar It is a leap of faith as an installation means spending a lot of money and customer feedback is hard to find for a lot of them I dealt with John Longden I felt the advice given was relevant It is really hard to work out what size installation and what size battery will give an individual house the best savings John discouraged me from spending too much on the battery and so far I think that was good advice There was a site visit prior to install to make sure everything would fit and it was clear where things would go There was then an issue with battery availability and upon FPS s advice I switched to a different model and the install took place the very next day This meant we were able to start making saving The install happened over a day On the day I was asked some more detailed questions about routing wiring etc so faced no surprises At the end of the day not everything was showing correct but this was suspected due an update needed to the Inverter s Firmware When it failed to sort itself out overnight I called FPS in the morning and by lunchtime an engineer was back and sorted it promptly Following the install there is some paperwork to consider I recommend making sure that all the warranties are clearly understood and the right certificates are carefully stored FPS responded to all my follow up questions within 24hrs Some of the paperwork does of course take longer but that is as it is beyond their direct control It is now 2 5 months later and the install is working well During September we used next to no grid and October was a very samll amount As expected over the winter months the benefits tail off but solar is still contributing The things that made FPS stand out for me were 1 Their suggestion to switch battery model so the install could proceed2 Engineer was back to sort a problem within hours3 The support received after the installI have since joined a facebook group relevant to my installation and plenty of people waiting for batteries to become available and lots of people getting no or slow responses from their installers For me FPS was a good decision

solar pv and battery system installation
Had solar pv and battery system fitted very quick to quote and fit compared to many of the companies out there at the moment System got changed at the last minute due to shortages in supplies however the system offered was an upgrade so very pleased System installed on planned day with no issues A small issue with the export tarriff setup which they did sort out and now all up and running Would recommend them for a pv installation

Great service before during and after
After shortlisting a number of companies we chose Future Proof Solar due to their professionalism before during and after our installation Their quote was competitive and the communication before and during the installation was excellent We had a couple of queries about our set-up after the installation and they were always available and even came back to talk us through a few elements face to face which is a true sign of great service We are now looking to expand our installation into other areas Highly Recommended

Very fast response friendly and competitive
I have asked for approx 5 quotes from various companies and FutureProofSolar have been able to price match which is a good start They are very open and have good review whereas cannot find any reviews for the other companies They are HIES and MCS approved and have been very fast and responsive I have been getting in touch with them over Facebook They have been able to answer all my questions and have a pretty fast lead-time to installation date which you can fit around your schedule So far they have been very good Will update after installation of solar panels and battery Update 17 03 2023 Installation process was pretty fast starting from 9am and finished around 1pm The system initially did a calibration run then from monitoring it over the course of a week or so everything seems to be working perfectly Even on cloudy days it is still able to charge the battery and provide enough energy for evening use I m happy that we got 10 panels as much as possible fitted to the roof Documents came pretty fast and everything went very smooth They answered questions via Facebook very quick normally within a few hours Although the installers did forget to put the bird mesh around the solar panels but this was resolved with the scaffolders putting it on a couple of days later Overall would highly recommend using this company as everything went very smooth

Thoroughly Recommended
Really pleased with my solar Battery Charger installation I searched for ages and finally found Future Proof Solar Competitive prices Good equipment Givenergy helpful and consultative no hard sell They were quick to respond to enquiry and from quote to installation was about 4 weeks The install team were great My set up 16 panels two roofs battery inverter and car charger was all completed in one long day I would thoroughly recommend Future Proof for your Solar installation

Excellent company
Excellent company first class service very responsive via email text or even Facebook I had previously had a bad experience with a solar company who let me down badly and I lost confidence in the Solar industry as a whole I was nervous about starting again but Pav was very reassuring talked me though options and the process there was no hard Sales pitch just an honest chat even suggesting the same equipment I was previously looking at Givenergy Lead time was very quick 3 weeks especially given this included bank holidays scaffolding arrived on time the install guys arrived on the day got straight to work and finished by mid-afternoon Pav has been very helpful resolving any issues and paperwork certification promptly supplied Future Proof Solar have restored my faith in the Solar Industry

Not one for reviews normally but will happily do one when a company deserves it Currently fitting my own solar panels which were supplied by Future Proof Solar The team provided me with an unbeatable quote and were more than happy to accommodate this bespoke installation Expecting them back to commission the setup once everything is complete Highly recommended
