Ruined my wedding
Rude customer service unacceptable service and liars I got married on the 4 5 19 and here is my review Where to begin with my wedding Only reason I booked the hotel was because it was advertised as the only one in a package with a bridal suite turns out said bridal suite was a standard four poster room and they don t tell you this until you have paid This room also stunk of sewage Travel cots- no mattress s are provided no alternative given to help I then had to go and effectively demand some alternative cushioning after the babies did not settle also the first one given was broken Tried charging for my bridal suite although it was quite clearly included in the package I had They gave away a triple room that had the deposit paid on it and offered NOTHING to compensate it not even to call other hotels to find other arrangements for my maid of honour No apologies no offers to help even though I was in tears and extremely upset ironically at the time when friends and family had arrived for the wedding which set the tone for the rest of the night When I called up to make sure one room was quiet and going to be suitable for two travel cots assurances were given the room was tiny and very warm heating was not on and my twins drove the in laws to tears on my wedding day from how uncomfortable from the lack of mattresses and warm they were the night before safe to say they were all exhausted The reception room was not set up although it was available for me to do it not entirely sure what I paid for as I ended up helping move the tables in the end also at the end of the night my best friend had to help clear up as staff were not going to do anything again not entirely sure what I was paying for Half way through the night they pulled the door across the bar effectively shutting us off from the bar Unfortunately when I was asked by my make-up artist on the day she had advised that other brides had been through a similar fiasco and management had done nothing to rectify it They have not responded professionally to me and there is no complaints process to follow as they are privately owned Would advise future brides to check Facebook as there are a lot of similar honest reviews that the hotel don t seem to care about

Totally disappointed from the moment I
Totally disappointed from the moment I got out of carOn approaching the main entrance there were two wall ashtrays at both sides of door entrance full and overflowing cigarette ends lying all around the steps and the stench was awful I mentioned to reception as soon as we checked in they blamed it on the wedding the previous night It should have been emptied that night after the wedding it got emptied the following afternoon a full 13 hours after reporting it to them Hotel from outside looks beautiful but inside tells another story it s very dated not clean in lots of areas staff don t look presentable and food is disgusting in my experience that s not chef material food food presentation leaves a lot to be desired While having breakfast the following morning there was a snail crawling up the window on the INSIDE right next to our table the waitress came and removed it from the window When I got home my husband emailed the hotel owners to which we received no reply not even an acknowledgment and that was several weeks ago and we re still waiting In my opinion AVOID at all costs

Amazing hotel
I stayed here at the very end of January and start of February 2020 The hotel had very nice facilities all round and was very good value for money WiFi which worked fast unlike at some hotels I have been to a huge TV a bathtub and shower with shower gel luxurious furniture Very pretty gardens and very elegantly designed building would be very romantic to stay in as a couple I went alone Exceptionally nice food Nice hot drinks and very good quality cider beer wine etc in the evenings
