Security Staff Going the Extra Mile - Thanks Looking at the reviews it is clear that the experience people have with security staff is variable and in reality it is probably down to the individual values standards of staff Well I got lucky but I hope my story reflects improving attitudes where others have had bad experiences Recently traveled through Gatwick North I have found security staff can be a bit miserable officious and petty but what a difference the person who processed me was pleasant and helpful and the best was still to come In loading my items on the security system I was told by the next person at the body scanner I needed to add my watch and coins to a tray but not my belt with a metal buckle every time the rules appear to change but C est le vie I just do what I am asked I went back took another box and put in On the other side I found three boxes collected my items and left Only when sitting on the airplane with literally 2 mins before the door closed for departure did a man appear with my laptop It had been sidelined for a further check I did not notice and forgot to pick it up as I collected all my other possessions This could have been a disaster for me but the security staff managed to locate me in real time Impressive with very little info I am so so grateful and wish to thank them immensely So to the person s that helped reunite me with my pc thank you so much for going that extra mile Keep it up as it is appreciated

Charlie is a life saver
after a lot not going our way we were running late for our delayed flight Charlie within security was extremely helpful and allowed us through and into premium to help ensure we made our flight he saved our day

Travelled back from Italy this week
Travelled back from Italy this week fully expected long delays I have to say I have never got through any airport quicker We landed at 8 00 and were in the car by 8 30 even after collecting checked luggage Going out was good too Maybe flying can be fun

Very well organised
We travelled to Cyprus from Gatwick North on Sunday 3 April Yes there were a lot of people but the bag drop and security were extremely well organised and the queues moved quickly Thank you for your efficiency

Dry and expensive
Generally my experience at Gatwick airport was ok However trying to buy a drinkat Wether spoons or any ofthe other bars proved to be exhausting and not worth thetime or money

Best airport I have been to
Best airport I have been to I fly from here at least once a month Security is always ridiculously quick 10 minutes max Good food options some cheap ish ones by airport standards and some more sit down and eat ones All tasty It s quite busy but very efficient
