Don t bother
On average it takes me at least 3 calls over many hours to get issues sorted I ve had at least three payment allocation requests that they didn t action and today I noticed they d charged me interest on an interest free payment I m completely over the wrong info fabricated facts lies staff who have no idea what they re talking about and promised call backs from supervisors that never happen Gem Visa was an incredible product but in the last 6 months the convenience of interest free deferred payment purchases isn t worth cleaning up and chasing them for the messes they continually make I ll be cancelling my card after the next two interest free periods are done

Absolutely terrible service totally incompetent I will never use this company again For all companies who use GEM Finance to support your customers I suggest you change to a finance company that cares about your customers as much as you do GEM is terrible

Hahaha I have had a perfect credit history paid off and closed account a year ago with GEM VISA Recently I thought I would buy something else with one of their interest-free deals - Better than paying a lump sum So after sending in official documents for proof of income as requested etc I get a phone call from a call center that is not down the road New Zealand In fact it s a Filipino call center with Phoney Filipino Operators with their Fake American accents they sound ridiculous asking for even more personal information OMG what have I done I started thinking about privacy and sharing my personal information with an overseas call center trained to be something they are not and decided you know what A 36 Months interest free whatever isn t worth it with GEM OMG too much BS Maybe Mastercard are more reasonable and straight foward

The woman on the phone missed two
The woman on the phone missed two separate incomes I receive each week 380 and 90 I asked to speak to another team member as she doesn t understand my pdf file with the summary of my income I asked her can t you see my bank account is always in credit by over a thousand each week She said I can t see what your talking about I said it s right there you can t miss it No idea Why is she working in finance when she can t understand a simple bank statement What in the world completely incompetent Uneducated Useless Waste of my time My score has been damaged for nothing This is very upsetting I ve filled a complaint on their website

Absolutely disgusting service
Absolutely disgusting service my dad made a payment by accident to them as they no longer have a Gem card he suffers with dementia we rung 3 days ago given a ref number and told to ring back 3 days later to enable them to find payment today I ring them back the man wouldn t let me speak to manager and he hung up on me I will ensure all the businesses I work with and people I know that GEM finance is the worst company to deal with thank goodness I have never used them and I will ensure this company comes to a close in the future

They need shutting down
They need shutting down I wish I could stop people using this company I ve recently paid off my Gem card and closed my account This happened because I was getting interest charges amongst other charges EVERY single day even though I wasn t using the card Gem call centre have the nastiest operators who refuse to listen or help you When I queried all the charges they just kept saying I was using the card daily this was absolute crap I hadn t used it in months Three different operators told me what the payout sum would be and guess what each one was different Then I was owed a refund god help me Two different operators two different amounts to be refunded They tried to tell me I d receive two further statements after closing the account I threatened them with taking legal action if they tried They have got to be the most incompetent bunch of c ckwombles and the worst for ripping people off Don t ever use Gem Visa you ll regret it

Poor service unprofessional low quality and another loan shark set up
I have been dealing with Gem finance for 5 years until this year they have been professional and poorly responsive my experience with Gem has been unprofessional poor customer service not client centric difficult to understand borderline rude dogs adults and children talking in the background they do not honour what their website advertises with the rates they do not honour or activate their offers of top up loans and yet will wait until a loan is paid off then are fast to offer as much loan as they can with the highest interest rate possible not taking any change in circumstances into account or being client centric Management then investigated the result but clearly has no real power or change in stance so this company is another loan shark company with no integrity or professionalism very disappointing after 5 years of dealing with Gem and at times having positive well managed customer focused experiences Do not use this company they are not worth the time or energy needed to seek financial support

Nice Attendants Inefficient Service Solutions
My card expired in December I was aware but not worried because banks usually send a replacement at least a month before the expire date so I forgot about it I just remembered because I went to use the card and obviously was declined I called them on the 21st of January and they said a new one was sent in November but I never received it I asked them to use the opportunity to exchange my surname before issuing the new card as the never-received-one had to be cancelled anyway I provided all documents and he guaranteed that the name would be done in 24 hours and the new card would be sent within 3 working days He asked me to wait until Friday 24th and call just to confirm I called on Saturday 25th just to learn that my name hasn t been changed nor a new card had been even requested to be issued I had to send the documents FIVE times and to this day I have no solution to my problem I mean I NEVER EVER delayed a payment which I think if I had the penalty fee would be promptly charged but to sort out a matter this simple it has been over a week and nothing
