Absolutely no interest in customer
Absolutely no interest in customer service or helping customers to interact with them I have been unable to speak to anybody that speaks English or obtain an e mail response in order to cancel my policy I am a customer for 20 years and had one claims experience which was very difficult and recieved no support from Generali Do not deal with them there are better service and better value providers in Spain that cherish a customer Dreadful Organisation in my view

Would give MINUS 10 if I could Purchased travel insurance for a trip originally booked in 2019 for 2020 travel to Europe Due to Covid trip rescheduled to Sept 2022 In the months preceding the departure date many countries had dropped the requirement for Covid vaccination including the countries I planned to visit however my tour company COLLETTE had not I cancelled my trip just shy of 4 months before departure date but due to misinformation given to me by the booking company RCI I ended up canceling the trip 7 days after the date in which I would lose 75 of my money paid None of the entities RCI COLLETTE GENERALI took any responsibility for the situation and pointed the finger at someone else My insurance should have covered me for cancelling the trip as to take the trip in 2022 included a requirement that was not required in 2019 when the trip and insurance was purchased The insurance was to cover medical reasons for cancellation I provided my medical rationale for not taking the vaccine which I will not get into here but Generali dismissed my claim They will only look at your claim if you submit an invasive form statement from your Physician about diagnoses treatment dates etc Due to the political nature of that decision which includes a backlash against Doctors who advise against taking the Covid injection I decided to leave my doctor out of the equation As an RN I am perfectly qualified to make this health decision for myself YOU also are qualified to make that decision for YOURSELF as well Everyone has the right to take steps to protect their health without being coerced into taking an unapproved experimental injection which has already shown to have among other side effects serious cardiac and neurological damage and death following its administration Generali was dismissive and disingenuous DO NOT waste your dealing with this company

Don t waste your money with this company
We purchased a cruise ticket with NCL and was advised to take out this insurance in case of any unforeseen emergency I explicitly told the travel consultant that I m taking it out in case I have to postpone or cancel due to positive COVID testing or visa delays and or declines My New Zealand vusa is pending and I was told to cancel my cruise without any refund or future credit Airlines provided me with future flight tickets that I could use in the next 3 years without having purchased any insurance coverage Policy only covers death and illness medical emergencies This policy that they provided is given to me free of charge by Mastercard for having purchased cruise on credit card This policy that I paid for cannot even give me a future cruise How pathetic

Waste of money
Absolute scam Forget purchasing this insurance unless someone in your family is going to die or be kidnapped Waste of money and time I had to cancel a flight a full week in advance due to regular problems and my claim was denied Read fine print I guess Death illness or kidnapping only

Do not purchase flight insurance I repeat do not purchase with this company It was purchased through Expedia They could not refund me and told me I had to take it up with the airlines Then I need to get a refund with the airlines and file a lengthy claim with them The airline did not refund and the claim was denied I m out 380 bucks This is the worst company in the world Scam

No matter what you do - do not order your insurance from Generali Global Assistance A cold and ruthless corporation We were supposed to fly for a month and a half honeymoon and due to the security situation in Israel my husband was drafted to fight in the army and all our plans were cancelled All the airlines hotels and other insurance companies through which we booked the trip returned our money but it turns out that being under attack in a state of uncertainty when my husband is fighting and risking his life for our homeland while my city was being bombarded is not considered a COVERED CASE I was left speechless no matter what happened to you and why you canceled your plans if it s not written in the exact same words in the policy you probably won t get your money back unless you die I recommend you to STAY AWAY
