Three years in and wish I hadn t spent the money
Been using their system for nearly 3 years now If you really really like putting out software and hardware fires this is the system for you The fact that you have to pay for support says it all For free you get access to the forum where every single customer they ve ever had is doing their best to support each other through all the spurious calls for heat you get or lost connections with the hub or whatever The system really isn t fit for the average user Device ranges are really awful so radiators lose connections the system is really behind the times with for example no app notifications for simple things like when a battery goes in a rad valve Support is so useless that we have had requests for notifications as a feature request why it s not standard I have no idea open for over three years seriously these people have no clue When it works it heats the house and can be tweaked to your heart s content as well as integrated with Alexa etc But most of the time you are dealing with issues and if I wasn t tech savvy I d be utterly lost Once I die the wife will throw the lot in the bin and go back to normal valves

Terrible system also need to pay for customer service which is awful
I m using this system for more than 5 years with different issue every month I ve changed all 5 of my original radiator valves which cost me around 60 every time some radiator more than twice changed They simply say that radiator faulty we need to replace thermostat Every month I need to replace the batteries as well Amazon Basis 100 batteries ordered every year now to replace it I purchased this system because it can control each room independently but end up monitoring this system daily is there any fault with battery or sensors Only advantage is hot water controls properly rest of the system need to monitored by you not automatically Now they have changed their radiators type which will not supported with existing system So we need to replace the hub by paying full price for existing customer Even for customer service we need to pay to contact them such an awful product only you can purchase with them there is no 3rd party seller for this product So you will end-up pay extra whenever you find any fault on your system Every year they will increase the product cost then give discount price on there website My underfloor heating system never turn on with timer always manually override the system if you want it to work Be honest DON T SPEND YOUR MONEY on this system

We are now 3 months plus in and still
We are now 3 months plus in and still the system is not working properly Thank goodness it s not a very cold winter where we are The company keep saying it will be sorted but how long do we wait

Don t waste your money
Don t waste your money As an update to last post Following conversations with the company and our installer neither could answer question as to why system not working efficiently or at times not at all One of the receivers was 70cm from valve and rad still not working If can t cope with that in a bungalow how is it going to work in a house We have had enough given it enough time and have switched to Honeywell thermostatic valves which means we now have reliable heating when and where we need

Lousy communication and poor service
Lousy communication repeated reminders asking for a reply are ignored I placed a significant order for a whole-house system at the end of February 2023 and was informed there was a problem in the supply of radiator valves I m still waiting to hear when these are ready to be shipped in the middle of April Considering cancelling and going somewhere else

No support for old systems
Just like many phone companies Heat Genius have removed updates for old equipment My hub from 2014 is no longer supported and will no longer update and eventually stopped working The response from Heat Genius is I need to buy the new hub - which I did The problem is it needs reinstalling at extra cost Shocking customer service A shame as the system is great when it works

Too complicated and unreliable
I ve struggled with this system for several years but now it s time to ditch it and find a better one I have to a fix a problem almost every day and often find rooms cold or too hot because the hub has lost contact with the control devices For ever rebooting reconnecting configuring or doing some other fix Spending a fortune on batteries as well The support system is crap and a waste of time Now looking for a replacement after wasting money upgrading it 12 months ago If I don t replace it soon I ll be saying goodbye to the wife

A slow death of a once great product
Have had this since 2016 New products they release are not backward compatible They have now updated the software and it has completely bricked my system This happened in June of last year as well and they eventually fixed it Who knows if they will this time Support chat just ignore posts these days What had been a very good system has become junk over the past 12 months Go with a bigger brand because I can t see this company being around much longer the way they are going
