Very disappointing

I booked a showroom valet for the Friday before Christmas at 2 30pm I got a last minute text from the valeter saying that she could not get to me until 3 40pm At this time it would have been almost dark Although inconvenient I had no choice but to reschedule for Sunday morning Christmas Eve as it needed to be done before Xmas The results of the valet were very disappointing My upholstery was not dirty or stained beforehand but they used a huge amount of water on it anyway and it was left in an absolutely sodden condition I followed the company directions for drying times but it still remains sodden many hours later I doubt that I will be able to drive it on Christmas Day which was the point of having it done in the first place There was debris left in one of the door pockets the steering wheel was left dirty I removed this quite easily myself afterwards and the white leather headrests have streaks across them where some parts have been cleaned and some have been left dirty The whole job felt very rushed half-hearted and unprofessional Unfortunately due to the time reschedule I was not present when the job was completed so could not complain directly to the valeter The results were nothing like what I would expect from a showroom and I would never recommend or use this company again I could easily have got the same results myself without the sodden upholstery Reply to reply The website and phone number are exactly the same for both Gleamers car valeting and Gleamers sofa and carpet cleaning If you want to send me a working link to the separate company website I ll be happy to post my review there Until then I ll assume that both services are run by the same company and the review will remain here
