Positive Experience Despite Car Accident Palma

I want to leave a positive review for the company I rented a car through Booking com and also bought insurance from them When I came to the office to pick up the car nobody forced me to buy their premium insurance The car was in good condition although not very clean inside but that was not a problem On the last day while heading to the airport we had a minor accident my fault with another car rented from GoByCar The main issue was that neither we nor they could find the insurance information for the damage report The call center specialists gave us different information some asked both parties to come to the office because we had external insurance which was not true since we had basic insurance and the car could not be used without insurance The final advice was to list GoByCar in the insurance section of the report We went to the office immediately and the other party took their way A very nice girl on return inspected the car asked if we were okay took pictures and led us to the office Another friendly specialist processed the paperwork took a copy of the damage report which I believe was not very useful and we paid the damage fee which was surprisingly reasonable I still don t fully understand how compensation works for the other car s damage which was minor but still present However I was told that the payment I made was the final amount and that my responsibility was fulfilled If this is the case I can say that the bad situation was handled smoothly easily and quickly My only recommendation is to ask for detailed insurance information as it will be necessary to properly complete the report in case of an incident

I rented a Gobycar through AutoEurope for a week in Gran Canaria I have rented cars many times in the last 30 years atvarious places in Europe the US and Australia Here are my thoughts no particular order Price was competitive I booked a small car for 2 people but ended up paying a few extra Euro for a car with a larger engine I m glad I did as the mountain roads are pretty steep Pickup from airport was via a transfer 5 to 10 mins but not a problem after a 4 hour flight Car had some damage but this was well documented I took a load of pictures as suggested by the agent I prefer cosmetically damaged rentals as am them less obviously a tourist Car was full of fuel I only pick full to full rentals I declined extra insurance as I have for years used an annual rental excess policy I have not yet made a claim - was not a problem Car was clean inside- more important to me than outside but this waz clean too Tyres were fine not very often rainy in GC but I always check tyre condition Pickup was 2 mins from the motorway Good location as quiet so I could do the vehicle checkover and test brakes on leaving Staff polite friendly and spoke good English On returning the car the agent did a check no issues I had been pretty careful driving and parking - there was no new damage So a good experience I will use Gobycar next time I hope my words are of use

AVOID THIS COMPANY BY ALL MEANS THey tried to lure me into paying more First time writing a review When booking it is stated that all drivers above 21 years of age can drive I reserve a car for 100 when going to pick it up they inform me that there is an additional fee of 100 for young driver since I am not 24 years old yet I m 23 I tell them that the terms and conditions says otherwise but they don t care I contact Booking com since I booked through them and they end up talking to the Gobycar representative It ends up with Booking com apologizing for the poor and false information given by the rental company and I am given a full refund I was suspecting they would do something like this or even keep my reservation on the credit card after I read the reviews They seem to do this commonly The Gobycar representative even says what do you expect when booking a cheap car Expect to pay for lots of stuff when picking up the car and even more when returning it Very dangerous and expensive company to deal with

I was ripped off for reservation money I was ripped off for reservation money 100EURO for cancelation 40 hours before card pick up they said this to be at least 48 hours I did that after I saw many complains about big deposits and forced to buy Insurance This is definitely not a trusted company

Close earlier than the other providers Don t have a desk in the terminal building Failed to respond to calls and messages Took our money and won t issue a refund despite us never getting the car
