Occasionally I have gold and silver to sell which are leftovers from jewellery making I have posted several lots to NZ gold merchants over the years Their payout rates are excellent And if you email them they will tell you what their payout rates are Because they process scrap gold silver into bars for retail selling they may melt it and assay it first There is a saying that a fool and his money is soon parted If you sell scrap gold to jewelers or pawn brokers you are selling to middle men Why do that Cut out the middle men and sell direct to a foundry like NZ Gold merchants There is saying also that all that glitters is not gold NZ Gold merchants have to be careful too not to burnt with fake precious metals which is why their need to assay it first I find them to be people of great integrity and trust them without question
