Goodstoves came to my rescue

Goodstoves were appointed by HETAS to put right work on my16th century Grade 2 listed cottage after work by another company had damaged the fabric of it and the HETAS surveyor had deemed both my chimneys not safe to use When they first came out to do the quote Andy Good was polite knew his stuff and was totally professional I felt happy about his company doing the work should they be the appointed contractors In the lead up to the work starting I was kept informed and what needed to be done was discussed with me in detail and a plan of action put in place On the first morning they arrived and immediately set about making the chimneys they were to be working on contained so the dust and debris would be concentrated in that space and easier to clear up They worked professionally removing bags and bags of chimney infill worked out a way to make both stoves compliant yet still in keeping with the cottage At the end of each day the rooms were left in an immaculate state and there was hardly any dust except what was floating in the air When it came to repairing plasterwork and ceilings they contacted other professionals to find a solution that would mean the ceiling would not have to be cut out and the plaster left on the walls It did not matter that this entailed many short 15 minute visits over a period of time if this was going to work it was better than the alternative I am more than pleased with the work they have done the time scale and the professionalism of all their staff They are highly recommended

We had been putting up with a failing heating system for a number of years so we sought a reputable heating specialist to overhaul our system completely We engaged Good Stoves to carry out the works which involved replacing a faulty Aga with a new multi-fuel wood-burning stove a new immersion tank pump chimney liner loft tank and all new fittings The work was carried out to a very professional standard by a dedicated team of highly skilled and enthusiastic fitters under the supervision of the owner Andy Good The finished contract was to an exceptionally high attractive standard and the final account was within our anticipated budget I would recommend Andy Good Good Stoves and his team of experts to anybody who is seeking a highly professional service and a clean attractive finish throughout

I recently had my Arada Hamlet Solution 5 widescreen along with a 6 twin walled 904 grade liner fitted by Dan and Simon from Good Stoves of Launceston They did a sterling job and completed it in one day I ve lit 3 slightly more-than kindling fires and all s good

We had quotes from several stove suppliers fitters and of the larger ones Good Stoves gave the best price Andy Good carried out the survey Be clear about what you want they cannot guess Andy was very patient and we were impressed with his knowledge and suggestions We paid 50 deposit and work was scheduled for 7 weeks later which was good given the run-up to Christmas The fitters arrived as scheduled They were courteous tidy and discussed the work with us on each occasion to ensure there were no misunderstandings Ours was a complex installation as there was no existing chimney or stove so it had to be constructed There was an unexpected complication but it was resolved to our satisfaction and there were no extra charges although it involved an extra days work The finish was exceptional and has added so much beauty and character to the room far more than we expected We have no hesitation in recommending Good Stoves

Debbie so helpful and lovely arranged for us to be seen as soon as possible as our old stove had been condemned and we could no longer use safely Andy visited and spent time working out the size of stove that was needed to heat our room well listened to our requirements and helped us reach our decision Despite being busy they made an effort to fit us in as soon as they could Adam and Sean were great and did a wonderful job fitting It looks amazing and we enjoyed our first fire this weekend A big thank you to Good Stoves

Chimney problem solved

Our Victorian stone farmhouse had a distressing problem serious water ingress following heavy rain Knowing that the chimney system was likely to be the cause we contacted Good Stoves for advice and were immediately impressed by Andy Good s chimney knowledge and his firm commitment to solving the problem Throughout dreadful weather his team worked tirelessly to take down and rebuild the huge stack taking measures to ensure that henceforth no rainwater would penetrate and we are extremely pleased to report that this has worked This company also installed for us a WoodWarm eco stove with which we are delighted We highly recommend Good Stoves Launceston
